Just...unreal.
Yes. It was shoved into the pier, tearing open the hull, it flooded on that side and sank.
What's unreal is the ship that was near the grain silos.
It was blown onto dry land!
Here..just for kicks and grins. Here is a vid of the test site for our Nuclear program in the Pacific. Kinda long but..

Lots of Christians in Lebanon
The Christian population of Lebanon is 36%. The area of Beirut where this occurred is heavily Christian.
According to Reuters, “the destroyed silos had only held 15,000 tonnes of the grain at the time, much less than capacity which one official put at 120,000 tonnes.” They were only about 12% full.
Then they were built solid!.............Must have been built by Russians!.................
I was shocked that they’re still there after seeing them disappear in the shockwave at ground zero. They took the full blast broadsides!
Sooo
Who is responsible for storing this in the harbor for what 6 years?
Bibi?
I heard there was a cruise ship in harbor that turned on its side and sunk.
Whoever built them will have no problem getting contracts from now on!.....................
Same thing I thought.
Shock wave or damage from blast.
Yes...fertilizer bomb.
IMO..it is where the terrorists were manufacturing their bombs and stuff.
They’ll throw so many accusations out there we will most likely never know the honest truth.
That was one hell of a blast... why in the hell were they storing all of that in one place?
“...why in the hell were they storing all of that in one place?..”
Lebanese democrats?
:^) You’re probably NOT wrong... :^)
The French, the War of the Pashas, Nasser, assassination of Saad and striking fishermen, all, took their toll.
**’We’ve had some dark days in Lebanon over the years but this is something else,’ Rami Rifai, a 38-year-old engineer, said about the blast yesterday.
‘We already had the economic crisis, a government of thieves and coronavirus. I didn’t think it could get worse but now I don’t know if this country can get up again. Everyone is going to try to leave. I will try to leave,’ he said, his voice choked by tears. **
Dark days for Lebanon, indeed.
I have a pollyanna view, and prefer to remember the *good times*.
