“If she was truly on the hunt, the man would never know what hit him.”
There’s a little bar/burger joint on the highway into Ranier national park that has a stuffed mountain lion taken there in the 60s.
It’s 9ft from nose to tail and weighed 270lbs. A female.
You would not want to meet her dad.

Projectiles are the right answer, whether 900 fps or 80 fps. I would not have been filming!

Pretty intense. Another example given to pack in the wild.

"people should consider not running alone on trails."True, but make sure your companion can't run as fast as you can.

“Where is the guys’ car?!”
He was in a ten mile run, so it could have been five miles away.

Wow, I just watched the whole video. I cannot believe how long that puma tracked him and the large number of bluff charges. That is scary as can be.

and if the cougar actually attacked him she would be put down and the cubs raised in captivity. The guy is stupid and should not be left unattended.

Dad has been twice - but mostly in the civilized cities, though he did climb Ayre’s Rock! (It’s no longer open to the public; the Native Australians have claimed it.)
Also, the Amazon and the ocean have lots of things ready, willing and able to kill you in a heartbeat.
No, Thanks!

I worked overseas in my mid twenties for a couple years. My first assignment was at a paper mill in the Amazon. One of my hosts asked “Do you want to see my spider collection?”
He brought out some cigar boxes and I figured each box probably held 20 to 50 spiders. Nope! Each box held ONE spider. Yikes!

If you see cubs and no mother, dont start filming. Walk away briskly and immediately. Doubly so for bears.

I'm yelling at my phone Start chuckin' rocks, Dude!"
Last week 4 coyotes came out of the woods and were just looking at me on Tuesday night.
I had my pistol but it was still spooky.
Had been hearing them yipping but for the last 2 weeks they've been howling like wolves, making a helluva racket.
They'll do that when the pack seperates to hunt or signal to another pack.
Sat on the back porch Wed night and popped a young, 40 lb male and a 50 lb female on Thurs.
Haven't heard a peep from them since.
