I was an Amazon addict until last week. I’m past my withdrawals. Now when I need something I either have to go and get it or look up a direct distributor. I’m probably going to save a lot of money because by the time I find a distributor, I usually decide I don’t need it that bad anyway.
Freedom.
I do pray that Sweetwater doesn’t go to the dark side. Somethings you just can’t find anywhere else.
Of course. Amazon totally breached.
They know it.
They have big pockets and goal is not to win but put Parler out of business.
And judges today. Who can trust them?
You really think you will find a judge who will rule for Parler?

“There is not a jury in the world that would let Amazon off.”
How about a Washington, D.C. jury?
I read a response on another thread that stated judges are chosen at “random”, which is similar to your statement that an Obama judge would be appointed by “luck of the draw”. After everything we have seen since 2016, I have zero confidence in the integrity of the American judicial system. The Democrats seem to be able to get in front of a leftist judge at a moments notice to get injunctions against the President, and every Republican brought case ends up the same. The fix is in.
Judges have the power to reverse or alter the results of civil suits. Jury being the last word is one of those "looks good on paper" things, like the Constitution.
The people don't have near the amount of control that the government tells the people.
And the rule of law is no rule at all.
For strict constructonalists, the Constitution only protects speech as being free from governmental interference. Otherwise speech is not free from consequences. The courts again will not save us.
Amazon is CIA, which appears to be stronger than ever—let alone its commercial market position strength.
Did Kamala change her name to “Amazon”?
Viva Frei and Robert Barnes also have a locals site I’m on for the princely sum of $5/month. It’s great.
Barnes also does a great show with pollster Richard Baris (the most accurate pollster the last 4 cycles) called “What are the Odds?” That’s another I watch regularly.
Independent content creators like the above, Dave Rubin, Tim Pool, Sargon of Akkad, Felix Rex and a few others are great sources of news and discussion.....and they’re not the Democrat lies and propaganda you get from the corporate media.
I’m no lawyer, but my grandfather was, (before they ran him out of town).
Here’s the thing:
I get the hunch that there’s a shared sense of admiration for argument—a craftsman’s aesthetic appreciation, maybe even reverence, for a good piece of writing. The lawyer that wrote that argument did a great job and made something that even a layman can admire the way you would a work of art.
I’m betting that the judges deciding this thing are going to feel a little revulsion at the prospect of shooting it down, even if that is the predetermined course.
Of course, like I say, I’m no lawyer and would love to hear from anyone who is.
There's the rub.
I gather that Amazon's argument for "suspension" is based on it's duty to the commonweal--to stop the bloodbath of an insurrection being promulgated from its --tenet, Parler.
This is an exaggeration to explain a subtle but critical undercurrent in the arguments.
Parler's response:
"BS, section 280(?) indemnifies you from anything my people, or even your people say! You are under no threat at all!"
"And another thing: I see that coat-hanger halo you perched on your head! You got some nerve, saying you screwed me so that the masses could be safe!"
"Who the hell do you think you are, declaring yourself protector of the people? That's the government's gig! And we got plenty of gov thank you!"
This last part could bring the issue to head--can companies providing services like web-hosting become the Sunday-school teacher washing kids mouths with soap--a job the government has gradually dropped over the last 50 years.
Can Amazon say "well somebody's gotta do it"?
This much seems undeniable--Amazon was in no danger of liability or any other kind for anything Parler did or said.
I’d agree the guy with the A bomb in money normally wins.
Yes, parler is terminated.
Yes, Viva Frei is there as well.
For a reason...... banned video
I have listened to Viva Frei for some time now.
He is pretty good. Also, sometimes includes Barnes for another plus.
I use the title of the article or video.
So....
Agreed.
Though some things are so obscure it is hard or impossible to find them elsewhere.
But they are rare and not recurring needs.
FYI
I’m Running for Parliament!
