I agree with her assessment of south vs north re racial relations. Northerners are great hypocrites, always sneering at the south, while actively discriminating in their region.

Census bureau stats as of 2010 say the majority of black-white intermarried couples are clustered from Baltimore to Richmond, but of course things may have changed in the past decade. Other hotspots are Chicago, Atlanta, Savannah, Norfolk—and basically the larger cities across the states. Intermarriage with Hispanics is a big thing in the western states. When Americans think of “Hispanics” or say someone “looks Hispanic” they are talking about mestizos.
“Hispanics” out west tend to live in neighborhoods with whites, unless they are recent immigrants, something I’ve noticed in my travels out there.
Yes, the Celts overran Europe— Spain, southern France, northern Italy, all over. Then Spaniards conquered the “new world” and the French took the Louisiana Territory and parts of Canada. Hence, “white Hispanics” have more in common with the Scots-Irish of Appalachia and Cajuns of New Orleans than the aboriginal natives of the Americas.
That is the best scene in the entire movie.
The butt of the joke is not the two black men speaking jive.
The joke is Barabra Billingsly (from “Leave it to Beaver”), complete with single strand pearls and neat housedress, being able to serve as a translator. She is the ULTIMATE stereotype of the Mid-Century Affluent White Suburban Housewife, whose only duties involve looking good for “Ward” when he comes home from his 9 to 5. The irony is, of course, that such a person would NEVER be able to understand any kind of ethnic patois, whether it be the street slang of Immigrants, Haitian Creole, Spanglish, or, as in this case, “Jive”.
The humor is derived not from stereotyping the two black Men, but the total absurdity of “June Cleaver” being fluent in Urban Black Slang.
The left, as you say, has no sense of humor, but they should have caught onto this as a parody of the Bourgeoisie.
It not only shows their lack of humor, but their lack of knowledge about Mid-Century Post-War American Pop Culture. It was JUNE CLEAVER for heaven’s sake!
