Hockey is the only one with that tradition. The other sports are basically random, maybe the teams talk after, maybe not.

Did baseball ever do such a thing? I don’t think its ever been a tradition.

In hockey they have a handshake line after every playoff series. The players shake hands, and even chat, after cursing and fighting each other just hours before.

This guy sounds like a simpering loser.

As the Braves clinched the series, becoming world champions for the first time in 26 years, my family and I cheered enthusiastically. But as I watched the post game celebrations and interviews, an uneasy feeling struck me. There were no on-field interactions between the Braves and Astro players. No handshakes. No congratulations. No Commiserations.

This is something that has never been done as a custom in MLB. If the guy wants to see a post-game handshake, he should watch the Stanley Cup playoffs or an international hockey tournament.

Sorry Rabbi, but good sportsmanship in baseball ended when the stupid commissioner decided to wage war for one side in a political battle.

He would need to be ridden out of town on a rail for the healing to start.

Astros broke any semblance of good sportsmanship when they went woke in first game.

Should have lost in four, not six.

Bite me, Rabbi. I’m tired of turning the other cheek after 5+ years of hate, and will not listen to the likes of you telling me otherwise.

Go convince a rabid Palestinian on Israel’s right to exist, then come back.

What about at the start of the series, before the winner was known, when Dusty Baker and Brian Snitker hugged before game 1?

Baker did the same thing at the first Atlanta home game during the tribute to Hank Aaron when he crossed the field to hug Aaron's son.

The two are baseball lifers from their earliest days with the Braves.

Sorry, this just seems like one gripe too many. Are we looking for things to pontificate about? I saw the players interacting constantly at different bases throughout the series. Enjoy the victory for goodness sake.

Baseball teams don’t mingle after games the way football players do. The winning team clusters on the field, and the losing team heads quietly for the dugout.

As a longtime competitor, I do not shake hands with the enemy!

The Braves were the enemies of the Astros. There can be no camaraderie, period.

COVID fears? Last night the new Jeopardy champion reached out to shake the hand of the former champion but he didn't even get a fist bump.

The fear is at psychotic levels.

I doubt the Astros wanted to talk to anybody or be talked about after that final game. The Braves beat the Astros with a stick about their head and shoulders. But hey, The Astros won the Pennant!

"In 2021, the Astros won the American League West title for the fourth time in five seasons while winning 95 games. Then, in the 2021 American League Championship Series, they beat the Boston Red Sox in six games to go to their third World Series in five seasons, a pennant win-rate not seen in nearly a decade."
