This from Wiki:

The hall was witness to dreadful violence in April 1605, when Walter Calverley murdered two of his sons, William and Walter, after drinking heavily. He was tried in York for murder, but refused to plead and was therefore pressed to death. Because of his refusal, his property could not be seized by the state, and passed to his surviving baby son, Henry.

Betcha the place is haunted!

Interesting, thanks.

Little Jimmy Dickens was one of my mothers favorites.

If it was Sedan, it would be in Northeastern France.

‘Birds with teeth’? Not dragons?

British birds used to have teeth.

British dental care fixed that.

My folks liked him as well.

He’s been gone a surprisingly few years. :^)

YT has (sez here) 21 seasons (series), and I watched S1E1 for an hour 41. I haven’t seen this level of bloodshed since the Die Hard movies. ;^)

The Tom Barnaby ones are best, I think. The first one, with the weird Rainbirds, is a big favorite of fans — they even bring back that pair in a later show.

Didn’t the Rainbirds, uh, not make it to the end of ep 1? Was it a flashback? I enjoyed them, they were really, really creepy.
