Wheel bearing.
FCA mopar can’t design a front end worth a damn.
If AWD possible cv joint.
You picked up some road kill and it’s
wound around the spindle between the rotor
and backing plate..../s
“A clacking noise started in the front end passenger side tire area”
I am thinking a illegal alien is hiding in there.
Get the wheel bearings checked FIRST.
If a worn out wheel bearing goes, the wheel could fall off.
This occurring while driving at speed could have
somewhat 'less than good' consequences.
Secondly it could be a CV joint.
Definitely something with the drive train.
First step, take it to a mechanic you, or friends, trust.
Of course, if you can't find a good mechanic who is NOT
incompetent or a crook, you could always buy a horse.
Or a new Hyundai - good warranty.
I had a 2005 Hyundai Elantra that I sold to the college
age son of a friend - that is still on the road and
running. It was out of warranty when I sold it to him of course
(175,000 miles on it) and he had to replace some exhaust
system parts - but hey, that's to be expected.
Last I heard it's still running strong.
Good luck.
Thank you very much, Galt.
Been a while since this broken back has been on a horse, but I wouldn’t mind a mule about now!
(I’ve got a Nissan back up that I’m going to get up and running ... hopefully. I think it just needs a battery.)
Dang it. That’s why I found part of a burrito in there.
Nope. Right foot only.
Please heed what Openurmind said - immediately!
Indeed, Mad. Going to and told Open so. Thank you.
;-)
You are most welcome, and good luck again - with the Nissan.
Pfft. If it’s roadkill in the South we’d scrape it off and make gravy.
Then you don’t ride the brakes and you’re to be commended.
Your post reminds me ...
I had a back surgery that left my leg paralyzed. I desperately wanted my leg back so I chucked the walker and held onto ... for dear life ... to the walls and furniture. I dragged it around and threatened to remove it myself every single day.
My then mother-in-law was in my driveway when I pulled up one day. She screamed, “What do you think you’re doing?!? How are you driving?!?”
“The same as always, Mom: with my right foot.”
(I loved my MIL dearly and she meant the best when she asked the question.” And God healed my leg, btw, almost completely.)
Loose wheel ?
Any luck?
Yes. I have been told that it is the drive shaft center support bearing (forgive if I write the thing the wrong way). Not what I wanted to hear, but still glad for the truth. Neighbor is going to repair it whenever we have some dry weather.
Thank you so much asking, and I appreciate every answer given.
God Bless,
SC
“Driveshaft center support bearing” works for me! Thanks for answer!
God Bless you, too!
