Exactly.
Without seeing it or even previews, you know that even the actual flying clips are pieced together carefully, and were planned and rehearsed at slower speeds, with some of the final cut flying clips possibly sped up maybe 15%. Reality is following the flight from wheels up to wheels down, at actual speeds.
What is the difference between this movie and Top Gun?
The last Hollywood movie I saw in a theater was Lone Survivor. The decibel level made me regret not bringing earplugs. The sonic assault is just one more reason I don’t go to movies.

I not going to look it up, but I recall over a year ago seeing an interview with a Navy pilot that was doing the actual flying while TC was in the back seat. He said no way was TC allowed to fly the jet. He was trained to turn his head as though he was flying it. He also said TC did pretty well, only passed out a few times when pulling the ‘g’s.
I saw it tonight. It was decent No preachy or woke garbage in this film. A good action film with what seems like a nice nod to Firefox Overall a good film. The two hours went by fast and the entertainment didn’t lag.

We tried to figure out who the “rogue nation” was on the way home, never could. This is a funny speculation ( the huge mountains and evergreen forests are what we couldnt figure out)

The root of it all, is, it's all fake.
No specific country enemy, some generic, never named
antagonist, mind numbingly seeking nuclear domination.
Face it folks, it's fake, an attempt for the audience to live

I haven’t seen nor am interested in seeing the movie. By the Any in-flight shots of a single seat F18, with the pilot wearing TC’s helmet, was not TC.
My next door neighbor (1/4 mi thru the woods) is 89 and flew hueys in VN. Was shot down once. He has shown me pics. A very humble, God-fearing man. TC is not worthy to tie his shoes.
