So they cheer when their city is in flames, and then beg for federal money to clean up the mess.

This is just like hotels, who would book members of The Who into rooms that they wanted remodeled…

Given the inefficiency of government, $1.2 million might create a park bench. So at least 3 tired looters can rest their weary feet for a few minutes after starting fires.

This is a perfect example why decent, rational people bitterly resent paying taxes.

In Portland, there is an "Arts Tax" on everyone within the city limits. I think it is around $25, passed back when Portlandians still thought their city was on the cutting edge of a new utopia. Now, the resentment toward just THAT tax by normally "progressive" Portlandians, given the clusterscrew that Portland has become, is truly a thing to behold.

The Cities are creations of the States, and are a State Responsibility.

If those in Congress want to vote for funds for Cities, I humbly suggest they run for office in a State Legislature.

It’s all this “Free COVID Money” to save America. Their useless and needless $5 trillion spending spree has destroyed us. We got a couple of $1,200 COVID checks, but now our life savings are down 1/3 and our annual expenses are up over $5,000. One hell of a deal. Trust the government to royally screw everything up. It’s the only thing they are good at. Adding insult to injury, OUR money is paying for a homo park in the destroyed city of Portland. The waste and malfeasance are incomprehensible and absolutely staggering.

The Senile, Alzheimer's, Dementia and Incompetent POTUS is so bad for this country right now.

Yes, we are talking about the useless Bozo Biden and partner Obama.
