Maybe, although doubtful, Griner is protesting the medical tyranny, surveillance state slash national security state that the US has become. For that, I would kind of be with her on that.
I’ll bet she was shocked to learn that, unlike the U.S., the race card, celebrity card, and LGBT card doesn’t work in Russia.
Good. Not our problem as the crime she did was in Russia. She was convicted and sentenced. Let her now complete her sentence.

Timing is everything. She picked the wrong time to break Russian law. Joke Xiden’s puppeteers aren’t going to run their foreign policy over a basketball bouncing celebrity who enters Russia with illegal drugs. Maybe when the Russians want to retrieve certain US imprisoned intelligence assets, they’ll make a deal with whomever is in the WH. But that is not foreseeable, not happening with Joke Xiden anytime soon.
What she does have is celebrity status and a demonkkrap media machine that keeps her name in the news. There must be a lot of other lesser status people who are in the same predicament there and have no such privilege, advantage. Look how her attorney gets right in the news, right now, and it is publicized. Why is her attorney talking right now? When she does return to the US, I wonder if she’ll change her reported perspective on what a terrible country the US is. I hope she does, and tries to work for defending what makes the US the greatest country ever. The media will turn on her and you’ll never hear from her again if that happens.
