” beef over boorish behavior in a Midtown steakhouse ended with a Massachusetts tourist stabbed twice....”

Probably a Red Sox fan so...

Ruth’s Chris is an expensive steak house. I’m surprised to hear something like that happening there. It’s not like they were at Chuck-E-Cheese or something.

42.

& the Portlandia schtick with ordering the free range chicken only “If it was happy. If it had friends when running around the yard?”

“Oh, here’s its file.”

Or something to that effect.

Using A-1 in Ruth’s Criss is a bigger crime than stabbing someone. Like asking for cheese on your linguini and clams at Umbertos on Mulberry Street.

“I’ve never been to Ruth’s,” said Bob Ostrow, who was staying at an adjoining hotel. “But if you’re going to start a ruckus you don’t want to do it at a steakhouse. There’s too many sharp knives!”

So true.

With the many steakhouses in Manhattan, you go to Ruths Chris? That’s like going to Mexico City and dining at Chipotle.

Ate at a Ruth's Chris one time. It was a company affair so I didn't have to pay. But my $50.00 strip steak was no better than one I can get for $20.00 at Longhorn (ok - $25.00 these days), and the rest of the food was pretty plain. So I've never been tempted to go back and pay out of pocket.

Texas Roadhouse, in my humble opinion is just as good as Ruths Chris for steak. I used to like Saltgrass, but I think it went downhill over the years.
