When I was a kid I didn’t know what a ‘Brussels Sprout’ was until I became an adult. Same for Broccoli and Cauliflower.
I had never eaten shrimp until I was 22 and out of the Marine Corps.
I was raised in Rural Mississippi and we ate corn, potatoes, peas and every part of a pig but the squeal.................

“By eating foods with a heavier weight that are low in calories, you can easily reduce the number of calories you consume.”
So, he’s telling me to eat the 1 POUND bar of chocolate, versus a handful of M&Ms?
I like this diet, LOL!

I was fortunate to be raised in a household with a broad range of cuisines. Dad was in the Navy, so we moved often and added the cuisines of each location to the family palate. My parents recognized a food allergy when I was an infant and adjusted my diet from infancy to toddler. Years of trips to the ear/nose/throat doctors never fixed my sinus problems. I discovered the solution on my own: gluten intolerance. Sinus and other problems resolved. Today, I eat lots of Mexican, Thai, Chinese, Indian and some American foods by carefully navigating around gluten and casein content.

Love potatoes and like Brussels sprouts. You too can like any icky veggie if you live near a Trader Joe. Their Soyaki sauce gets me through any and all veggies. Soyaki is a basic food group in my house.
