Race apologists ALWAYS have a story...
He was jogging (seven miles away from his house).
He rang a doorbell for directions at 10 PM (a half mile from his house).
He was not dangerous (dozens of prior arrests).
He was killed by the Police (after eating a fatal dose of fentanyl).
He was assaulted by MAGAs (in downtown Chicago).
Someone recently posted an interactive homicide map of Baltimore from the local paper and if you are white you’re highly unlikely to be a victim, particularly if you stay out of a certain area. If you are black, on the other hand, it appears to be open season in the metro area. Age isn’t much of a factor.

I wonder do crime stats effect our expectations of the greater black community? I mean that there are more black kids in jail than in college. That’s a bunch by itself, let alone 18% of America commit over 70 % of the homocides. That Stat by itself when normalized is a monster in itself.
I refuse to consider there are any other ‘experiences’ that must be lived other than human.
All others are lived by choice.
A black guy wrote an op ed years ago in which’s he cited maybe ten examples of racism that were common in his life. Every single thing he cited happened to me fairly regularly and I am unambiguously white. People were reacting to his being male but he had no clue. On top of that I was twice stopped in my car and told to stand up out side it while they rolled some crime victim by taking look at me and say yay or nay. An impromptu one person lineup. A third time I answered my door to to cops who asked me a lot of questions regarding my late whereabouts and had me stand there on my porch while they rolled a bank teller by who’d be held up at her bank. Imagine how things might have gone if any of the victims in those impromptu line ups had said “yeah that’s the guy…”
Racism my white ass.
Cut the man some slack. We all react reflexively to some things. I love baseball/softball, and I use that as an example all the time.
In my youth, I played outfield and did it well. I used to boast - “If it comes past the dirt in the air, I’m going to put you out.” And I could most times get it done, because I had great reflexes and ran very fast. I knew by the angle of the bat and the speed of the swing where it was going, and I had already taken my first step before the ball got 3 feet in front of the batter. No joke.
How did I do that? Because I ALWAYS played outfield. I had hundreds of innings and hundreds of batters under my belt, and I knew how it worked. Now - let’s go to the next generation. I taught both of my sons how to play and they were excellent ball-players. I taught them what to look for, and they learned. They developed the same reflexes I did.
I taught them to move as soon as the batter swung. If you are playing outfield and the batter hits it, you are already preparing to make the play. If the batter misses? You got a jump on a ball that wasn’t hit. No real loss, but you were ready.
Apply that analogy to the black community. They have been taught for generations now to react before the ball is hit. Their coaches may or may not hate the other team, but they can’t afford to lose the game. It may only be a matter of pride or advantage now, but a few decades ago, not getting the jump on the ball might mean a noose. Now, there are fewer and fewer times the (white) batters connect. The (black) outfielders are moving for nothing, but reflexes that you and your coaches have built a lifetime cultivating are very hard to stop. Especially if the team owners stand to gain from the way you play...

It depends where you are. Some parts of the country are worse than others in that regard

Have gotten along just fine without either of those two things for 63 years.

Most people are decent. Sometimes our first impression is wildly mistaken. Honorable people are shovked by this error and often tell others about it to prove/telegragh two things: we can be mistaken, and most people are decent!!!
