It has honestly become very tedious to sit through 3+ hours of commercials punctuated by one or two 11 second plays followed by 3 to 7 instant replays. Sheesh. But admittedly I do watch, especially if the local weather outside is bad and as it starts getting dark at 4:30.
BTW, as a lifelong Packers fan, I have a sizeable soft spot for the Lions ever since the Wayne Fontes era.

I never watch an entire game. It’s on in the background while doing laundry, here on FR, cleaning etc. Maybe even a trip to the driving range....

The Lions are certainly due. So are many other teams.... who will break from the pack? They certainly arent doing the Lions any favors by having them open against the Chiefs.

I'm down with the NFL, and rabid Pats fan (before they were great, and while rebuilding).
Sure the NFL is Woke, as is 90% of the country's institutions, but one can't realistically boycott the world, we have to choose our battles.

My picks are in. Went with 3 teams that are underdogs. Craziest is Detroit to beat KC. I recall last season the Eagles first game was against Detroit and they just beat them. KC will be missing Jones for the first four games at least.

I'm planning on doing the spreadsheet weekly totals tally and posting it here again this season. So again if someone doesn't want to post the picks at yahoo, they can post picks here and be in the race.
I noticed over at Texas Booster's yahoo group #384 that Al_c is the only former years player I don't see in Impy's yahoo group #33195. There's several players who appear to be playing both (including me), but I don't plan on keeping tabs on both. Just Impy's yahoo group and FR thread.
