“A forklift might even be able to flip the car to get it to roll off the road”

I have seen a tow truck (in a picture) that had an integrated forklift-type mechanism that would fully lift a vehicle just like a hydraulic lift in a garage ... And move it to a place where the winch could be used to pull the vehicle onto the flatbed.

Occam’s Razor suggests to simply drive a reliable vehicle.

Better yet, don't run out of gas (ICE) or charge (EV).

“Not if the driver is running the AC and such. The AC and heat in an EV comes from a heat pump since there’s no engine turning a belt to turn a compressor like in an ICE.”

The A/C and heat do not run off the 12v battery.

And/or while the EV was in the air dollies could be placed under the wheels.

That’s 20% of previous EV owners that aren’t continuing to drive an EV.

There’ll be another 20% from the current batch...and others that hear of all the issues from past & current EV owners and simply stay away.

Here's a YouTube video of a truck using a crane to pick up a car and put it on the flatbed.

"I have seen a tow truck (in a picture) that had an integrated forklift-type mechanism"

That can be seen at 01:07 in the above video.

"I think you are incorrect, the cars are low slung, much heavier than a regular car, and the battery may be destroyed by dragging the underside of the auto onto a truck."

You are incorrect.

I looked it up. My bad. In my EV the 12V battery doesn’t power the AC, but it does power the cabin fan (blowing the cool air).
