The history most folks don’t know is the history of flouridation.
Alcoa had lots of flouride toxic waste as a result of its massive wartime production of aluminum for World War II.
They hired public relations experts who worked with their scientists and cooked up a plan to sell the flouride to cities throughout the country.
They used “persuaders” to get the dental trade groups and the mass media on board—almost certainly some bribery took place.
Anyone who opposed the effort to put flouride in public water supplies was deemed a “conspiracy theorist” and a “right wing kook”.
It has taken many decades for the authorities to slowly backtrack and admit that maybe the risks of flouride outweigh the benefits.

Evil is always among us, flourishing in plain sight. Self interest conspires with hypocrisy & virtue signaling to protect & camouflage evil’s existence.
I particularly detest “evil that wears a pretty face” because it is so much more difficult to detect and guard against. To pretty can be added, the face of unquestioned authority as in Government, the scientific establishment, the “medical community” (AMA etc), social services, biased judges...
