The one with Art Carney as Santa Clause was pretty good, too.

I would never recommend it due to its off-color and downright debased content, but if you can appreciate NYC-LA Jewish humor I am convinced the best writing for any TV show can be found in "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Just two (safe for work) examples ...

Larry David & the Precocious Kid

Jewish Customers at Palestinian Chicken Place

LMAO.

I put 24 in a class by itself because it was/is unlike anything else, and there was a time when it was so suspenseful you had to remind yourself to breathe.

You have good taste, my friend. Such a heartwarming story, really kind of shocked that thread hasn’t been used in other shows. It’s not sacrilegious, nor belittling to any religious group that I am aware of. The theme could apply across a wide variety of cultures.

I just never expected to have my heartstrings played by a TV show, all those decades ago. So, I bought the series and when I am bored, will throw on one of those shows to sit back and remember what quality programming used to be.

I agree. Not 100% of them were epic; but they were all original stories. They were unpredictable as to where the story was going to go. Outer Limits, Night Gallery, Twilight Zone, the original Star Trek - they all teased the imagination and had a good story to tell.

No formula, usually with a moral behind them. Or, just some good entertainment that you could watch with your family without a moment of shame.

If you are a Jack Webb fan, check out the movie “The D.I.” from 1957. Webb plays a USMC drill instructor. Good flick.
