You have good taste, my friend. Such a heartwarming story, really kind of shocked that thread hasn’t been used in other shows. It’s not sacrilegious, nor belittling to any religious group that I am aware of. The theme could apply across a wide variety of cultures.
I just never expected to have my heartstrings played by a TV show, all those decades ago. So, I bought the series and when I am bored, will throw on one of those shows to sit back and remember what quality programming used to be.
Bonanza
Rifleman
Rat Patrol
Gilligan’s Island
Mission: Impossible
Hawaii Five-O
McHale’s Navy

I agree. Not 100% of them were epic; but they were all original stories. They were unpredictable as to where the story was going to go. Outer Limits, Night Gallery, Twilight Zone, the original Star Trek - they all teased the imagination and had a good story to tell.
No formula, usually with a moral behind them. Or, just some good entertainment that you could watch with your family without a moment of shame.
If you are a Jack Webb fan, check out the movie “The D.I.” from 1957. Webb plays a USMC drill instructor. Good flick.
