Chris Christie thinks ‘the people’ are too stupid to elect their own leaders - and that ‘the elites’ should make the choices for them.
Kind of like the old KGB used to do in the USSR - “here’s a slate of people you powerless citizens’ can vote between”. North Korea does it too - with the added requirement “YOU must vote.... or else”. All the scum of the world’s history have never trusted ‘the people’ - We WERE the exception. Now that old evil has raised it’s ugly head among democrats and people like Christie.

Yup, this almost seems staged though. I have half a mind to believe they’re working together. What would this do though. Get a sense of what percentage of the voter base is absolutely not gettable? Wouldn’t there be better ways to figure that out. Yea, probably not working together but this performance seems so over the top that it feels like something else is going on.
Why not? He wasn't a real governor either, just a big mouth blowhard who shouted a lot, insulted some people and did absolutely nothing except impose a new take that took NJs one good thing - low gas prices - and made them among the highest in the region. Oh, and live a lavish life of luxury while closing bridges and beaches to settle grudges or benefit personally, people be damned. Oh yeah, that bit about letting his staff go to jail to cover his own corruption, that too.
