My daughter did a cool thing with the leftovers last year (or the year before, can’t remember, it’s been a tough few years).

She made little mini pot pies, with the turkey and some of the veggies. Forget what she used for the crust, maybe some additional crescent rolls, but don’t roll them up?

I gotta ask her how she made them, they were great!

Millie Peartree’s recipe is really good but I add a splash of dry sherry. So yummy.

We have a blended Thanksgiving (a little Italian thrown in).

Day before cooking:
Sauce for lasagna
Oatmeal and raisin cookies
Sugar cookies
Chocolate chip cookies
Apple pie

Turkey seasoned with butter, salt, and tarragon, stuffed.
Herbed stuffing with celery and onion
Sour-cream mashed potatoes with chives
Green bean casserole
Long grain and wild rice with tarragon and grapes
3-tier lasagna with homemade sauce (with ground beef and Italian sausage), ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmigiano, garlic, and parsley.
Zucchini and squash roasted medley with parsley, basil, and oregano spices
Roasted buttered corn on the cob
Two loaves of heavy duty garlic bread (one with melted mozzarella)
Fruit platter
Veggie platter

All burners going and ovens/fridges full. All hands on deck cooking and cleaning, with lots of stories and jokes thrown in.

Two days to make; one hour to eat. Food for the next 3 days.

my parents did catering as a side job...one year someone wanted a Thanksgiving wedding....so we indeed had hotdogs on Thanksgiving....

funny story is the wedding party was from St Bonaventure and one of the guests was the NBA'er Bob Lanier....huge huge man....

Sounds good. The nice thing about a pot pie is that you can put bits of everything in, turkey, veggies, stuffing, gravy, mushrooms, potatoes. I make the Crisco crust.
