Indian Pudding. Never heard of it before. A New England desert? All Righty Then. I’m from the South.

And that picture? Doesn’t look all that appealing to me.

Looks like raisins and cashews. Yeah, not my idea of pudding.

I’m from the South.

Of course you are. You like grits and red-eye gravy.

;-P

OMG! That’s so racist!

It’s Native American, no, Indigenous, no, First Nations pudding.

Sounds like something from Princess Grey Beaver’s “Pow Wow Chow” cookbook.

Is there a link for the “slow cooker Indian pudding?”

I was just thinking with the cooler weather it’s now time to break out my crock pot - and this would be perfect with family visiting next week...

I grew up in Connecticut, and I never heard of it either. The only thing we did with Indian corn was hang it on the front door as a decoration.

As far as the appearance, what's not to like? Grain, raisins, nuts . . . it looks more appealing than a southern bowl of grits.

[[A New England desert?]]

I thunk so- my aunt used to make a really good Indian pudding, and also a spiced brown bread she cooked in a bean can- can’t remeber the name now- had it every Thanksgiving for a special treat.

It’s bad enough that they make tacos out of Indians, but now they are taking Indians and whirling them up into pudding.

There will be no one left on the reservations.

I remember seeing the “Jewish Recycling Center” in Pembroke Park, Florida and wondering when did the Nazis take South Florida….
