I predict the start of the campaign to make seniors who have the ability to stay and enjoy their homes sound selfish and completely inconsiderate of the younger people.
They will start pushing for seniors to open up their homes to help others....and earn a little extra money (which they will tax) at the same time.
This will serve two purposes. It will help with their housing shortage that they’ve created, and it will give them a place for more illegals, another created problem.
Sadly, some of these seniors will fall for it, as they’re good people, and fall for these guilt trips. Truly a disgusting ploy.
It is still a way to force seniors out of their homes. This is freaking insane.
How about we deport all the illegal people entering this country and we won’t have a problem?
Blame feminists. They could get these dirty old men to take them in and even pay their bills. All they have to do is put out.
What we end up in is the homecoming scene from Dr. Zhivago.
Hush, Now! As soon as Brandon finds out about this, he’ll sign an Executive Order forcing anyone with a spare bedroom to house a dozen or so illegals under their roof!

In NYS, for example, Medicaid is cost sgared with counties. Counties pay for their share through property taxes.
Seniors in NYS get extra STAR relief.
Can’t take that away for political reasons
Can’t jack assessments any higher.
Spare bedroom tax fits the bill nicely.

What they will do is require a person to submit how many bedrooms they have and how many people living in your home.

I’m almost a seasoned citizen. We have two extra bedrooms, none of which will be offered to people not of our choosing.
All our seniors can “host” the 2 million imminently migrant Palestinian residents.
Aging in place??? These elders worked and endured all that they had to in order to have a home to live their years out! What a cold phrase.

I’m turning all my spare bedrooms into temporary work spaces, now that WeWork ate it there is a little need I can fill. I hope that those wanting temporary work space can complete the massive application and pass the background check…. So far no one has passed, but I’m hopeful….
Was watching a man on the street thing at a rally for illegals(my word) and he was going around to all the “caring” leftists there looking for people to volunteer to house and support the “migrants”, none did

Forget the fact that you scrimped, saved, went without, worked hard, sacrificed for your kids your entire life and now your reward in your Golden Years is living in your own home. Nope, you are selfish with those empty bedrooms. Why, three or four illegal families could be living in your spare bedrooms.

Keep pushing the Vax (Reminds me of the movie “Soylent Green”) and they’ll get their new, pricey mortgages for the greedy bankers.
We live in a very small, very inexpensive home.
Hubby was prescient.
He saw where this was going long before I did.
I feel for folks who have invested a lot of money and love in a nice home.
In any state with property taxes, you don’t own it.
You just rent it from the government.
And God help you if you miss a payment.
