This is why professional football should be forced toward the professional baseball business model. Use minor leagues to develop players, get away from relying on the state taxpayer to pay your bills! Let colleges & universities go back to their intended taxpayer function. If need be colleges and universities can lease out their name to maintain a pseudo-tradition and have an income stream.
The ideological problems in higher education is a different problem.
COACH: Son, what's your problem? Is it ignorance, or just apathy?
ATHLETE: Coach, I don't know, and I don't care.
But I don't think this makes him stupid.
There are very intelligent people who believed the COVID was the best thing medicine created ad everyone should take it. There were very intelligent people who believed the exact opposite.
Josh Dobbs, the 49ers backup QB is a devout Christian who got a degree in Aerospace Engineering and interned at NASA.
“Planets are clearly visible.”
If you knew the truth, you wouldn’t be saying that.
Trust me on this.
So what?! If you can find an astrophysicist that’s also a great runner (and can survive the tackle) be my guest!
Which is worse, this guy’s knowledge re astronomy after 4 years of college or Ketanji-Jackson’s re biology and law after college plus law school?
Well, if Owens knows what a woman is, he's ahead of Ketanji Brown Jackson in being qualified as a SCOTUS Justice.
I respect that while disagreeing.
I don’t believe hip hop is music, so we’re even.
“I wonder if the kid even knows the word?”
Of course not. Maybe 5 out of 100 college graduates would.
But regarding the assertions of solipsism, it is true that only one’s mental experience and God can be certain to exist.
Jupiter is very bright in the west in the evening sky this month. But you have to know what you are looking at—you might think it’s just a very bright star.
This is a good Wikipedia article:

My favorite part is this Greek guy:
“Solipsism was first recorded by the Greek presocratic sophist, Gorgias (c. 483–375 BC) who is quoted by the Roman sceptic Sextus Empiricus as having stated:[8]
Nothing exists.
Even if something exists, nothing can be known about it.
Even if something could be known about it, knowledge about it cannot be communicated to others.”
lol
And vice versa. Galileo never played football but he was a pretty good astronomer.
I found one: Josh Dobbs.
I think you’re misinformed. College sports. At least one’s like football, are a revenue source for colleges, not a revenue drain.
Just because you wouldn’t take the vaccine?
He would make a great Congressman! One of the smartest in the House!
