Don’t forget the sex traffiking
I had Spiderman #1, and many X-Men and Fantastic Four early issues. Practically anything from Marvel and DC from about 1966 to early 1970’s. I spent most of my paper route and lawn mowing money on comic books and later records 45’s.................
The ruination of fiction by "girl bosses", while out of control,
has zero effect on me.
However, it is a shame to see disneyland corrupted beyond
redemption.
My father was a member of the construction crew that built
the original in lala land.
The M-SHE-U is a total disaster
Comic Books have a following just like Sci-fi and fantasy novels and movies do.
And each of the serialized comics had a letters to the editors section at the end where the readers would give opinions, and feedback.
If the editors and writers suddenly had a character do something or say something that was not in keeping with previous issues they would hear about it!..............
Yes, I realize that and I'm happy for them.
My entire life has been dosed in hard reality, though I do enjoy an occasional
book, preferably a hard copy.
“Because Hollywood can no longer think up anything original.”
All society is controlled by the left so there is nobody left to be the villain. You can’t make a movie about a corrupt FBI, DOJ, EPA, FDA, network newsroom, college boardroom, etc.
Also, it is hard to have suspense if you have a limited number of white males in the film, and the white male has to be the bad guy.
That would probably explain why so many films are put in a vault after completion, never to be seen.
Lol Jimmy kibble!
Many on the left are just given over to their reprobate minds, and are blinded. They can’t see the obvious signs that are staring them in The face and plain for all else to see. Its just like the unsaved... the word of God is foolishness to them because their eyes are blind and ears are deaf to the truth. (God can still get through to them just as he did us though- but for many, they have sealed their fates and been given over to their reprobate minds)
I credit comic books with my love of reading as an adult.
I read Dickens, Austen, Burroughs, Twain, Kipling, O. Henry, et al..................
Actually the Wonka movie is a prequel and quite good.
And a s far as could tell, there was not really anything objectionable in the movie.
The music in the movie was also not rap or hiphop.
All the acting decent.
Not really. Shalla-Bal has been part of the Silver Surfer story for ages, and has donned wielded the Power Cosmic, and even been the Surfer before. Also Julia Garner is an amazing actress. Really, as is so often the case, anybody whining about this just doesn’t know the history.
Reality can be harsh, like the half inch sliver of fir I received yesterday
while spitting kindling for my ex.
I hope you didn't get a splinter in your tongue!............... 😁
Well, that's moms - mine threw out all my R&R photos (all rated PG) I sent home and emptied the powder out of the VC rounds I sent home AND gave away my high school ring (gold) to some guy going door to door asking if anybody had any rings to give him..
Mothers are fascinating creatures.
The knuckle of my thumb. It's still there, going to have to fester out.
I had a similar splinter like that a couple months ago.
I waited a couple of days and then pricked the skin with a needle and it literally flew out!................
So why aren’t the theaters filling up with young women?
That’s the part they don’t understand.
Super Hero comics and subsequently their movies used to be targeted to teenaged boys and young men, not girls and certainly not women.
Hollywood can’t grasp the idea that teenaged boys and young men do not want woke crap shoved in their faces and certainly not feminized superheroes........
Fantastic Four in 1968 was great. They went into Sue’s bloodstream to save her and the baby. 25 cent double issue. That’s how I learned about sex as a boy. My parents weren’t going to tell me.
Then that super amazing Silver Surfer double issue debuted that summer. Just wonderful comics we had. Not this woke mess and boring slop.
