There is still a Lubys at Midway and IH635 in Big D it’s one of the last ones remaining. It’s all senior citizens eating it. I have only ever seen a few GenX or millennials ever in there and that’s largely if the grand parents took them as kids so it’s a touchstone for them. Furrs in Lubbock was the place for starving Red Raiders who didn’t have a meal card on campus. Wreck’em!
Our Place in Irving Texas off MacArthur is spot on northern Indian food. The H1Bs from ExxonMobil used to take us there it’s excellent. They have real goat curry on the lunch buffet. Having spend time in India is is as authentic as it gets that whole area is known as little India to the locals. I highly recommend it.

Oh jeez yes it is. The Sam’s Club at Ohio and 121 might as well be in India there is no fewer than five Indian restaurants in the home depot center across the street as well. I’m out past prosper but come in a d out of the city down the DNT so Frisco is a regular entertainment stop.

It’s getting worse, by the day, with this one.
The last time was in a diner and I ordered sliced tomatoes as a substitue for hash browns with my omelette. I knew something was wrong by the time I got to the parking lot. I spent the next 24-48 hours dealing with nausea and diarrhea. I'm thinking the sliced tomatoes had to have been sitting out there a long time.
Another gross thing is the fruit they have at bars, like the sliced lemons and limes that they put on the rim of your drinks. Unless you know for a fact that the citrus is freshly sliced, stay away from that too.

Its always about the omelette not the tomatoes. The omelette has bacteria built in and isn’t heated enough to kill it. It would be cardboard if it was. And, you’d have to take a dump on the sliced tomatoes to get anything nasty from them.
We have a Chinese buffet in the county seat. The town is on the Appalachian Trail. He loses a considerable amount of money in late May/early June due to thru-hikers.
