I had an awesome 1971 Thunderbird and it ONLY had an AM radio but I got the after market FM component you could hookup to the AM and mount under the dash. Stylin’!

WANNA BET???

I have a 1976 1 ton 4 speed dually Chevy truck with over 348,000 on the chassis. MOSTLY HAULING HORSE TRAILERS

ROLL UP door windows.

SLIDING windows in camper shell.

MY 1979 Buick wagon has roll up windows—except the rear tailgate window, which is electric. IT has over 223,000 miles.

I MISS my roll up windows & WING windows in my 1965 Pontiac wagon -—AND the tailgate window was ALSO ROLL UP. I PUT OVER 444,000 miles on that car-—ONLY ONE I EVER BOUGHT BRAND NEW.

Late 60’s T-Bird — ‘67 I think — when you set the Parking Brake and put the transmission into “Park” the steering wheel would slide to your right, and you could rotate your driver’s your seat about 45 degrees toward the door to aid you in stepping out.

Not at all obvious was how to release the Parking Brake when you were ready to hop in and get on down the road: merely rotate the driver’s seat, then — while holding the foot brake — slide the steering wheel back into its locked, driving position.

Crazy as it sounds, the guy who styled the Porsche 928 said the AMC Pacer was one of his inspirations for the design. Once you see them side by side the influence is unmistakable:

“Interestingly, GMC went back to a pushbutton shifter in the 2018 Terrain:”

I just finished a work trip with a rented GMC Arcadia with a similar style control - and hated it. The Park button was Push, but drive is Pull. They’re hard to see with a cup in the center console cupholder, and not as intuitive as a normal column or console shifter. Parking requires too much switching back and forth between looking at where your going and having to find the dumb buttons on the dash to change between reverse and drive.

Nope,
Got two with roll up
windows.
‘40 Plymouth truck and
a ‘79 Jeep CJ7.
They both have a floor
mounted dimmer switch.
The Plymouth has a crank
in the dash to tilt
the windshield out for
ventilation, along with
a cowl vent.

when I went to look at my first car, the first question was "does the radio work?"

the car we just bought now...a 2023...doesn't even have a cd player...
