I had some Rhode Island Reds once -- they're HUGE! No wonder he needed to become dinner! (I also had some Plymouth Barred Rocks -- these were for a 4-H project when my children were younger.)

I think the rooster who caused me such misery was a good bit smaller (it was about 1963 or so).

My ex and I used to love to go to the beach. We'd bury each other in the soft, white sand. Maybe one of these days, I'll drive back down there and dig her up.
