How about american culture and way of life?

What could we ask from immigrants without being called racists?

Learning English, adopting general Judeo-Christian ethics, and rallying behind our "way of life," Anglocentric as it may be, is too much I guess.

This is the most intelligent thing that is said so far to stop the muslim terrorism that is going on world over.

Intelligent thing to say? I COULDN'T disagree more.
One of (if not THE) dumbest things said last month.

Tancredo speaks..Osama smiles.

Why is it a blunder? That option needs to be on the table and the Islamics need to suspect that it is, indeed, on the table. Someone like Tancredo saying what he did, does not tell much of anything real to Americans and is not anything official and has no weight. Except with paranoid Mohamedans.
And they need to have that possibility in front of them.

10 is a ridiculously small number. Buy some more zeros.

we should have made that announcement right after 9/11. No Afghanistan; no Iraq. No homeland security.

If we had made the announcement before taking concrete and effective action, it would not have been even heard because our enemies put a lot of reliance on our lefties and media.

It perpetuates the myth that we are at war with Islam. And so gives aid to our enemies.

If they obliterate NYC it's all over and the only suitable reply is to vaporize Mecca

And Tehran and Damascus and even Baghdad. Don't even omit medina. And a JDAM into the Dome of the Rock would not be out of order.

Something like that is going to happen. It is not likely in a Republican- at least not in a Bush- administration but highly likely in a Crat administration after 08 or 12 if it comes to that. The Democrat will pull out and give back all the gains and the Islamics will be infinitely emboldened. Some very heavy hits against America will ensue and the Crat in office will swing wildly from a sense of betrayal as well as sudden fear. Mecca will disappear and much else besides. Unfortunately it will be without much rational strategy.

ALL Moslems are/will be against us to the extent they see us failing to DEFEAT the 21st century Islamic Expansion. This will not be over so long as Moslems perceive that they are in control of more real estate and/or power where they do not formally have the RE today than they were yesterday.

We are at war with ISLAM. At least Islam is at war with us. Has been at war with everyone else for 1300 or so years. Moderate Moslems are ones who have not yet been convinced that that it is time for the Final or the Next Great push.
There are no exceptions among Moslems who have read the Koran.

We are?

(as I've said over and over)
The problem is people take the most bloodthrisy xenophibic verses from the Koran, place them in the center of Islam and say..This is the heart and soul of Islam. Now if this were true (Note: I do not deny those verses are in the Koran) don't you think we might be seeing blood running in the streets of Flint Mich.? Don't you think we'd be seeing a lot more incidences of terrorism? By a lot more I mean 100's-1'000's a month? If this were true explain the last elections in Malaysia & Indonesia. Explain why Iraqi soldiers Sunnie and Shia) are fighting and dieing along side American and British soldiers, and killing Islamic terrorist?

There are no exceptions among Moslems who have read the Koran.

Wanna bet?

No blood in Flint. Not yet. The Moslems are not totally irrational. Success by violence is not within reach in Flint Michigan. They have real hopes of imposing Islam through the Law or by ignoring The Law still because of the numbers you cite by implication.

Those few verses are not isolated any more than any other verses are isolated. They are basic and they mostly occur later in the text. A rule of Islam is that if there is any sort of contradiction , the later verse rules.

And; to anticipate the next in the argument progression, they are NOT analogous to the slaughter mandated in the Old Testament because that was ordained against only particular groups at particular times. The verses in the Koran have no such time or population limits. And that doesn't matter anyway. They are attacking us. We must defend. A good defense is a... etc.

They? You mean like the 3100+ Iraqi soldiers who have die to give birth to their nation?
Or the Muslims in the US armed Forces who are fighting and dieing to protect our nation and spread freedom?

Those few verses are not isolated any more than any other verses are isolated.

I never said they were isolated. I said they are not the core of the faith.

They are the core of the faith as are the rest of the unsuperceded-by-later-verses verses.Islam has never ceased to fight this war. It has only had periods where it was beaten and impotent. It is not now in such a period. Moslems in Nigeria were moderate and pretty easy to get along with until they perceived that their capabilities had reached a point that they could rule. So for a few years we have increasing warfare between Christians and Moslems with the Christians being steadily forced inward to their towns and their towns being hemmed in and attacked.
Islam was peaceful, rather dormant, for a time in Sudan. And even in Turkey the air has turned cold for Christians and they have been emigrating when they can. And I have been prety much of a turkophile. I still see them as an exception but that exceptionalism is slipping away also.
