"You say you want an evolution,
Well, you know,
We all want to change the world"
Here you go. :)
http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-speciation.html
I find this most interesting, failed chromosome division in a diploid leading to tetraploidy. Double the chromosomes, double the fun.
"Rabe and Haufler (1992) found a naturally occurring diploid sporophyte of maidenhair fern which produced unreduced (2N) spores. These spores resulted from a failure of the paired chromosomes to dissociate during the first division of meiosis. The spores germinated normally and grew into diploid gametophytes. These did not appear to produce antheridia. Nonetheless, a subsequent generation of tetraploid sporophytes was produced. When grown in the lab, the tetraploid sporophytes appear to be less vigorous than the normal diploid sporophytes. The 4N individuals were found near Baldwin City, Kansas."
Just more arrogance. Yawn.
Oh, I should note there are many methods of speciation noted in that list. Some were forced in a lab environment and some were found in nature, and some where found naturally in lab environments where isolated populations suddenly exhibited mutations sufficient for speciation.
you join yourself to the godless like Mao, Stalin, Hitler(now there was Darwinism in action) and you're "troubled" the alliance between evangelical religion and right wing politics?
Where is the data?
FWIW. Long long ago we discovered how to make fire, by striking flint, or by rubbing wood together producing. That is no small accomplishment!!!
Much much later, we discovered gunpowder, and made guns and cannons.
Point being, IMO, I don't see an evolution of the mind, considering those examples. In fact, I think the former discovery is greater than the latter. Just maybe, our minds have not evolving as Darwin sugggests.
So if we discover a simple but profound idea before we invent a complex machine that utilizes that discovery, homo sapiens is not generally more intelligent than homo erectus was?
Don't bother. Just a bunch of cr*p.
There are no failed species. Within each species there are mutant individuals whose mutation didn't improve their breeding or survival success so those mutations didn't enter the gene pool. Mutations that did improve the gene pool have become mainstream in each species.
That's right. God was too weak, and didn't have the imagination required to design evolving life.
Is insulting Freepers a new Christian ministry?
Although it sounds interesting why an outdated reference (1992)? I'll check out the link you've provided and also find out id anything came of this. Thanks.
Some Darwinists are terribly narrow minded. This guy and the rest of his crowd would also rule out extraterrestrial involvement.
There's lots of links on PatrickHenry's list-o-links.
Are you ruling out extraterrestrial involvement for example?
Evolution theory is a fraud and anyone that believes in that theory just ignores truth and facts. There is nothing that supports evolution. If there is, present data.
"Is insulting Freepers a new Christian ministry?"
Is rejecting God as Creator a new Freeper ministry?
Then there's the referende to "glue sniffing".
Everybody knows the most chic thing to do these days is to sniff modern automtive paint!
Your "proof" does not rule out the distinct possibility that extraterrestrials did the tinkering.
The ID textbook purchased in Dover Pennsylvania that the school board wanted students to read was "Of Pandas and People". The fact that an early draft of the book had the word "creationism" replaced with "Intelligent Design" in a later version is one clue that ID = creationism.
That, and the fact that I don't see any athiests promoting ID.
