This is good — the divisions less ambiguous

America First.

Pick a side, and stop complaining.

Exactly. It’s a Time For Choosing.

Which side are you on? Straddling the fence is not an option.

in the history of our country a political party has never rallied around the person they want to be president never ever ever this is weird, right?

Correct. First time ever.

So the anti-trumper is more likely to win in the general election? That theory makes zero sense. It is gaslighting, just as much as federal indictment of Trump on some library charge after 7 years of failed investigations is. Try harder..

I’m beginning to think the TDS factor isn’t central to what the neocons despise. /rhetorical

Sure, Trump is bold and unapologetic, but his ideals are a 99% match to the proclaimed neocon principles — the laundry list of conservatism that’s been shoved down our throats for decades. Maybe 90%...

Well, now we know... You neocons got what you asked for, and you’re not happy...

I care as much about his film opinions as I do about his political ones.

Don’t compare FDR’s or JFK’s popularity with Trump’s MAGA movement.

FDR paid handsomely for his popularity - with our grandparents money.
.
As for JFK, we will never know how he would have been remembered, had he not been assassinated - I suspect his legacy would have been ho hum.

He said that the majority of Americans question the results of the election. Biden won the election. He won the popular vote by 7 million”

Even taking 7 million as true doesn’t mean everyone who voted against Trump had to believe it was a clean election. People like him are good at math, so he should know better.

Look at the names on this 2016 cover issue of Nat’l Review shown in # 11 above, who were anti-Trumpers. Some of these people are Commentators (hired Contributors) on Fox News at this very moment as claimed conservatives, but are they still anti-Trumpers? My how times have changed, or have they really:

Ben Domenech (married to Megyn McCain, John McCain’s daughter)
Dana Loesch
Andrew McCarthy (lawyer)
Katie Pavlich

1. Losers tend to question the outcomes of close elections - get used to it

2016 - Trump won the election yet many Democrats questioned the outcome. At the counting of the electoral vote, the outgoing Vice President of the U.S. Joe Biden had to gavel down several Democrat deniers.

2020 - Biden won the election and many Republicans questioned the outcome. At the counting of the electoral vote, the outgoing Vice President of the U.S. Mike Pence had to gavel down several Republican deniers.

2. Both the 2016 and 2020 elections were close in terms of the margins of victory in the states critical to victory.

The nationwide popular vote means nothing in our set-up. If we ever were to shift to the nationwide popular vote, first, the parties would campaign differently; and, second, the Congress would make the rules for voting in federal elections uniform. So, who would’ve won the nationwide popular vote if that is what counted, is sheer speculation. And, people who point to the nationwide popular vote only reveal their ignorance of or possibly their disdain for our system.

3. The Democrats stole the election in advance, and by the time of the counting of the Electoral vote it was too late

In many of the states critical to victory, the Democrats used the courts to change the administration of the election, when the U.S. Constitution clearly says that Electors are to be appointed by a process determined by the state legislatures. Among the sneaky things the Democrats did was open the election up to vote harvesting, and keeping Kanye West and the Green Party candidate off the ballot in all of the critical states.

BUT, the state legislatures didn’t object in a timely manner (or even after the election; when it came time to count the Electoral vote, no state legislature had objected). As a consequence of the sneaky changes in the administration of the election, Trump was forced to compete on a tilted playing field.

The bottom line is that we have to tighten up election laws where we can, and we have to maintain and even increase our control of state legislatures this fall.

4. Republicans who don’t realize we are in a desperate war with the radical left that controls the Democrat Party are naive. Yes, the war is about economic policy, but more importantly it’s about our culture.

This is Michael Medved’s problem: Supposedly, as a conservative movie critic, he sees the perversion and wickedness that has taken hold of Hollywood, and perhaps he also see the corruption in Washington. But, to keep his bone fides in the Hollywood community, he attacks Republicans instead of attacking Democrats.

During WWII, we worked with Joseph Stalin to defeat the Nazis. Donald Trump has his shortcomings, but he’s no Joseph Stalin (and, just to be fair, the Democrats aren’t Adolph Hitler either). As Jean Kirkpatrick said during the Cold War that followed WWII, there aren’t good dictators and bad dictators, but there are our dictators and their dictators. She was a realist. Michael Medved isn’t.

“…where basically everything is measured, and everything is evaluated based upon your loyalty to one man,” Medved said.“

The usual gross oversimplification. The destruction of the two party system and its replacement with the uniparty guarantees that people will flock to anyone who will fight that. Trump leads that effort.

When people love President Trump, it’s not because he’s conservative, it is because he’s Trump,” Michael Medved said on the Gee and Ursula Show.

Really, Michael? You are clueless.

They haven’t gotten as far as Hitler did but yeah they’re Hitler. They have given in completely to the human flaws that Hitler did. They’ll infallibly take us to the same place.

> "I find it intensely worrisome and very depressing that one of our two major parties has become a more like a cult of personality where basically everything is measured, and everything is evaluated based upon your loyalty to one man,” Medved said.

Medved was always on the Gaydar back in the 2000s and early 2010s. But no doubt his thinking is perverted.

It's not loyalty to one man, it's loyalty to an agenda of policies and proposals designed to Make America Great Again.

Whether espoused by Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis, Marjorie Taylor Green or Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan or Joe Kent, it's not loyalty to one man, it's loyalty to belief in where the nation should be steered.
