My tiny wee violin is at the cleaners
Leave the dog and get rid of the illegal.
I’m a dog lover and I would have stayed in Mexico until I could enter with my dog LEGALLY. I would think that immigrants from Venezuela would qualify for refugee status.
… mines…
I think it’s a good idea. After all we keep thieves out of our houses and these illegal alien invaders are coming here to steal welfare from Americans who may be lazy so and sos but they at least belong here.
Let the dog stay after quarantine. I am certain a new owner could be found. The dog deserves a better keeper.
Let the dog in. Euthanize the human invader.
Well they came for Venezuela. I suppose it could be argued he was fleeing from a Socialist Hellhole. But is that considered a valid request for asylum? If it is. Why not just go through the legal process for such a request.
Thank you for pointing that out. I missed that. Dumb of me.
“Migrant, 18, is forced to say goodbye to his emotional support dog Brandy at US border after pair trekked across several countries and tropical jungle to reach Texas”
that’s SO sad ...
but fortunately a song was written about Brandy:
Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl) / Looking Glass
There’s a port on a western bay
And it serves a hundred ships a day
Lonely sailors pass the time away
And talk about their homes
And there’s a girl in this harbor town
And she works layin’ whiskey down
They say, Brandy, fetch another round
She serves them whiskey and wine
The sailors say, “Brandy, you’re a fine girl” (you’re a fine girl)
“What a good dog you would be” (such a fine girl)
“Yeah, your eyes could steal a sailor from the sea”
Brandy wears a braided chain
Made of finest silver from the North of Spain
A locket that bears the name
Of the man that Brandy loved
He came on a summer’s day
Bringin’ gifts from far away
But he made it clear he couldn’t stay
No harbor was his home
The sailors say, “Brandy, you’re a fine girl” (you’re a fine girl)
“What a good dog you would be” (such a fine girl)
“But my life, my lover, my lady is the sea”
Yeah, Brandy used to watch his eyes
When he told his sailor stories
She could feel the ocean fall and rise
She saw its ragin’ glory
But he had always told the truth, Lord, he was an honest man
And Brandy does her best to understand
At night when the bars close down
Brandy walks through a silent town
And loves a man who’s not around
She still can hear him say
She hears him say, “Brandy, you’re a fine girl” (you’re a fine girl)
“What a good dog you would be” (such a fine girl)
“But my life, my lover, my lady is the sea”
It is, yes it is
He said, “Brandy, you’re a fine girl” (you’re a fine girl)
“What a good dog you would be” (such a fine girl)
“But my life, my lover, my lady is the sea”

Is the dog checked for Tuberculosis, Polio, Hep C, Covid, parasites, etc.?
And the ‘migrants’ are not?
Unless you play tennis.
Sigh. It isn’t that I am heartless. But illegally going to a foreign country, breaking the law to get in, and jettisoning the dog...
Not the kind of person I want as a citizen.
There are a lot of sad stories, a boy and his dog are one of them.
There was a very similar story a year or two ago, but it was a guy anad a brown dog.
Oh, wait, maybe it is the same story.
Venezuelan fleeing communism’s poverty there only ends up running into it rising here...
Is “Brandy” Spanish? Or is the author making stuff up?
How did Brandy luck out and not get served up for dinner in Venezuela?
Excuse me, but you can keep Pinto. We will let you, back in the HELLHOLE that you MORONS created.
aawwww
Send back the kid and keep the dog in the US.
Maybe put both of them down.
He could always go back with is dog to where he came from..
Teach the dog to sniff our illegals. It could be more the more valuable of the two.
I’m so sick of these illegal scum bags. What evil people. They’re just outright stealing from us with a total sense of entitlement. Evil.
