Guess Sean is thin of skin if he can't take some flames. I think he engages in a lot of self promotion as opposed to Rush's show content but Sean's younger with small kids and let's face it - Sean's supposed to prosper in a capitalist society but when he's shilling his books, it's boring to me ESPECIALLY if he's going to insult over 100K people in one swipe.

Didn't know anything about this feud until I saw the poll and went searching for a thread to find out what it was all about. Must have been serious bashing and thrashing going on in that 800+ post thread that got pulled!! Seriously, we don't need to divide our conservative resources at this critical time in our nation's history. I listen to Sean when I'm away from the office (Lubbock a.m. station to faint to receive in an office with flickering fluorescent lights), and agree with him most of the time, though he does tend to monopolize caller conversations. That's way different than "hating" him; must have been a few of the more rowdy types that got him all riled up.

A middle school bus stop and an INTERNET website are exactly equivalent in the level of civility. Once you get past that and determine that the general consensus of a site isn't always set by the most prolific posters, you can begin to appreciate it.

Sean is a busy guy appearing in three media markets: TV, radio and print. Getting the real sense of what the mood is here isn't easily done in a ten minute visit four times a week.

If you are mentioned here, you are having an impact, even if half the comments are negative.

Good luck to him in his commentary efforts and good luck to us in our discussions of news article, research and activism.

Heck I LIKE Sean Hannity. I just wish he would EAT his antagonist guests more often. I think he throws too many snowballs. I don't know whether it's because he wants to be liked or what. He's too easy on them. But he is STILL great and he's on our side!! [besides too many commercials but that's not his fault..lol]

I wondered why that thread was pulled, too. Yes, some people moaned about Sean because they are so much smarter than he is and they have so much better books out to read, but lots of us who love Hannity also posted.

I don't think JR would ban frank discussion about Sean, yea or nay.

There was also some talk about a woman who left FR and badmouthed it to Sean, and he on the air admitted that he had heard bad things about FR from this woman, or something roughly like that. Maybe the thread was pulled because of reference to this one woman? I still don't get it.

Oh well. Sean? You see how wrong you were. Most of us are your fans and are proud of the work you do. Very much so. Check out the poll.

He's just got a sweet disposition. That's one of the things I like about him.

We've got Coulter; she'll skin 'em alive. Sean kills 'em with kindness. There's room for both approaches. :o)

Welcome to FreeRepublic FlashBack. I listen to Hannity too, and really enjoy his show. I emailed him and told him that most freepers do like him. We do get infiltrated by liberals posing as conservatives and trolls so he shouldn't think all he sees here is coming from freepers who really do believe in our cause! All will be well with him now! LOL

Excellent post in #11. But, um... what's up with your tagline? ;-)

The tagline alisasny posted comes from the movie Manchurian Candidate where brainwashed former POWs recite that line whenever they are asked about one of their number who has been brainwashed to shoot a candidate for president. In the movie, the brainwashed assassin (Kerry in alisasny's tagline) was the opposite of "kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being".

...but no one's answered the man's question. For those of us who have apparently been living in a cave the last few days--what exactly is the flap all about?

Thanks for the 'welcome'...This site has fast become my favorite, lots of good info and insight here!!
We met Sean at a book signing in Des Moines a year or so ago and to hear him speak and banter back and forth with the people in the crowd is something I'd suggest everyone do that can get a chance to do so.
Let him know he's got a strong base of support here in "fly-over" country, aka...Bush Country!!!

The doggone choices on the "Hannity" survey were not focused on the right target, in my opinion...

Mostly, whether I like or dislike SEAN HANNITY is not really the point. I am tired of the shout-down, bullying format for the show. Volume is not equal to strength of the argument. The TV show is mostly a waste of air time, in my humble opinon. Hannity seems to taken his thin skin to the air waves, which is well within his purview. Tough.

Why does SEAN HANNITY have a thin skin?

I agree with him in principle, but the show format is based on shouting volume..... so what?
For my money, I would rather listen to Tony Snow. Better humor and logic. Sean seems to have a thin skin.
