I am guessing that last definition is made up. I stick by my "grow up" statement and that you make cartoons. You may not like it, but it doesn't change the fact that its true.

At least "The Incredibles" didn't have a boring four hour soliloquy towards the end that made me want to scratch my eyes out.

No it doesn't. Its a cartoon. Thats what people call it. Thats what they always called. Just because you have a narrow minded view on cartoons doesn't make cartoons "bad" or "just for kids". Also the fact that you get all worked up because someone called it cartoon is pretty funny (to me anyway).

Uhhhh... Big word... Big word... "The Incredibles"... di-chot-o-my... Big word.. Big word..
Jebus Christ! It's a smart, cleverly written, funny parody of "The Fantastic Four"!!!!
It's not "American Beauty", "Lawrence Of Arabia" or "2001".
Hollywood's just POed that itty-bitty Pixar is making money and other mega-corporate driven studios aren't.
Sour grapes!
Jack.

LOL.
I am sorry I hurt your "feelings". Good thing you work in the cartoon field , because you act like a 12 year old.

So it is not surprising that they should scratch their heads at a competing narrative: one of special people born with unearned gifts and of regular people who must make do with what they have. One of the regular people dares to rise above his station through hard work and innovation.Consider Mike the welder, in The Fountainhead. He was an ordinary guy with ordinary talents, but through his philosophical perspective, he rose to the top of his potential...not as an architect, not as a tycoon, but as a welder. Roark, Wynand and Dominique Francon recognized this and viewed Mike as their moral equal, and felt no disdain to spend time with him in their off-hours.
