I didn't suggest he was a bad guy, just that something of the event leading up to his arrest was likely either omitted or diminished by the author. I wish him luck, but think he needs to look to alternatives if a good education for his child is his primary goal. If his goal is to beat the MA education system, he has a lot of work ahead of him, and his child will likely suffer during the ordeal.
BTW, do you have a link to that California law?
You hit every note to perfection!
No link handy; it's been on the books since 2001 and was voted in by what passes for a legislature in Sacramento in 2000. If I remember I'll do a search later. Gotta run off and do something right now, I snuck onto FR for a minute!
It is definitely mandated, K-12. In Eureka a few years ago I read about a situation in (sheesh, what grade was it? Middle school, I think) wherein the special teachers from - get this - Planned Parenthood - brought in to enlighten the skulls full of mush about the glories of gaydom asked the kids if any of them thought homosexuality was wrong. One or two raised their hands, and then, under the instruction of the teachers, were taunted and yelled after being placed in the middle of a circle.
Our tax money at work!
The Clown Posse doesn't think so.

Wow, This is a good editorial piece, the thread is 5 hrs old and nobody has even added a keyword? How will it get any attention?
Great editorial by one of our FReepers, she's also one of our ping-listers. Doing what the lame_stream media refuses to do.
Thumbs up to Lindykim! Keep up the good work.
If you want on/off the ping list let me and little jeremiah know.
Hell, that's almost as good as having the DUmmies disagree with you!
(Scratching my head) I forgot to ping it out! I started making a couple of comments here and there and thought I pung it.
Because I'm scatter brained.

"With all due respect, it would be nice to see an article which includes the whole story. I suspect something is missing on this one."
That is not good Freepthink, Comrade MACVSOG68. Beware; you may be sent to the "This poster is banned or suspended" reeducation camp.
LOL. I do tend to get near the edge from time to time. I was warned once when questioning a WND article.
Let's see here, Nambla teaches how to rape little boys and get away with it. The lefty outfit ACLU defends them pro-bono, and the National Education Association is a major supporter of the ACLU. Now our kids are being taught that homoperve sex is natural and normal....that about it?
I hope I am not the only one connecting the dots here.
You would be wrong, unfortunately. The whole story has been revealed. As much as we might not want to believe this could happen in this country, it can and indeed it HAS!
This is the whole story.
Good question!! The "powers that be" or is it, "the powers that wish it to be" are apparently of the mind that this constitutes hate speech. It does not, and in MA, there is indeed a law that this school board has violated.
Actually, this meeting at his sons school, was the culmination of many request in writing to make Mr. Parker aware of these subjects being discussed, and many attempts to set up meetings. He finally got one, and firmly but politely refused to leave until he got an answer from the school board. It wasn't just the one meeting, IOW, it was the only face to face meeting, occurring after months of requesting a meeting, and after getting the run around for months, Mr. Parker politely told them he would not, as a parent, be put off again. He wanted his right the law in MA gives him, to opt out.
Nice Job!! Anyone who cannot connect the dots, especially after reading your editorial, is in denial.
