You are correct about Ad Populum to a point. But the context here does not support it. It is simply saying that, like the case against Dan rathers forged documents, the case against evolution is seeing the light of day in spite of the MSM and others attempts to repress it.
Ya gotta love the internet.
"The attempt to "repress" the argument against evolution is really not the issue. The original statement was that Intelligent Design was "gaining ground". Now, has becoming popular ever been the benchmark of excellence for anything? I know you are not suggesting that because something is becoming popular that it must be good for us?"
Correct. But this is more of a "now that word is getting out, the opinion is turning" sort of thing. Again, like the Dan Rather forged documents. If there had been no internet then, he would have walked and over half the population would have believed him and Kerry would probably be president.
The same thing that happened to dan rather is happening to evolution faithful. Like I said, you gotta love the internet.
Actuallyu it's not a Scientific theory since it does not respect the criterias for one.
It must be possible to both proove and disproove the theory.
ID cannot be proven or disproven unless you proove or disproove the existence of God, which isn't possible.
Which is why it does not belong in the science class.
In religion or philosophy class it's got it's place.
