Exactly.
Why didn't they stick to talking about what SHE DID, rather than what (Bush) is DOING?
They manage to make these wakes profligate political forums ABOUT the LIVING *AND* PRESENT (Bush), rather than about THE DECEASED.
Maybe King feels ripped off that they didn't talk more about HER at HER funeral.

The Wellstone funeral showed just how out of touch the Democrats were/are
You're so right. The dems have so aligned themselves with the culture of death, that they might as well call themselves the party of death. Death holds no special status for them. In fact, they celebrate it.
Whether it's abortion, euthanasia, the killing of millions through the poverty and subjugation of socialism, or even the passing of one of their own "beloved" figures, they love revelling in the aura of death. So much so that their causes that push for death outweigh the death of the people before them.
The dems are not only out of touch politically, they are out of touch with humanity.

Yup RFK did the wiretaps and ready for this Carter once ran as a segragationist. Unaccustomed as I am to playing the part of a Carter apologist, I feel obliged to mention that in segregated GA of that time Carter would have had zero chances of winning an election for Plains dogcatcher if he had run as anything other than a segregationist.
The same thing applies to other GA Democrats of much greater ability and worth to the nation than Carter, men such as Senators Carl Vinson and Sam Nunn for 2 examples. Of course those men represented GA before Democrat intra-party politics degenerated into a contest to see which candidate can sink to the lowest level of moral depravity in order to be nominated by the national Democrat party.

I think yesterday's fiasco was far worse than the Wellstone funeral. At least at Wellstone's event, the object of their hate wasn't sitting right behind them, listening to every disrespectful word.
President Bush showed a great deal of class yesterday, as did Laura and Bush 41. If I were Laura, I might have been delivering some slaps.

She was not being honored by Ralph Edwards on THIS IS YOUR LIFE. This was a funeral. Unfortunately, rather than sticking to honoring her life, some ***clowns used it for political theatre. That comment sums up the bizarre affair so well that I don't see any way it would be improved by anything I could add to it.

A funeral is not the place for partisan pot-shots. Some people (mostly Liberals) just can't help themselves, its a form of narcissism, where the individual thinks himself and his thoughts so important, that it trumps the normal conventions of civility.
For cryin out loud, look at Sheehan, look at the liberal kooks who insist on distrupting things, its all about Me, My Thoughts, My Feelings!
It is a mental disease.

Ronald Reagan's funeral wasn't called political because it WASN'T political. Correction. Ron Reagan JUNIOR used the opportunity to take a potshot at politicians who weartheir faith on their sleeve (apparently Bush)

Democrats just can't help themselves. I'm sure Ronald Reagan is proud of that moment when his son denigrated his funeral with this classless attack on the president.

he has put in place the means to DISMANTLE all the advances made through the work of the Kings, Carter and Clinton.

They talked about the Iraq war! WTF? That discourse does not belong at a funeral. Period.
This one seems to get it. Lots of dissenting DUmmies here. This could be really bad for the dims when even the craziest among them think it was wrong.

[Ronald Reagan's funeral wasn't called political because it WASN'T political. Gorbachev was sitting in the audience and guess what? Nobody attacked him. In fact NOBODY was attacked at Reagan's funeral. Why? Because it was a FUNERAL. They were there to HONOR Ronald Reagan, NOT to attack anyone or turn it into a GOP political rally.]
Bill Clinton was there too and nobody attacked him.

The best! "Country Roads" is hard to sing even, but to create new lyrics and make them fit into the song's meter and rhyme is quite an accomplishment. I love it! Yesterday's were good but I couldn't read DUFU this morning...same old problem, can't risk demented laughter... my DUFU laughter... in the presence of outsiders.
You and PJ, Silverback, and all of the other regulars on DUFU, are truly a blessing in the world. To read DU without the saving grace of your wit would be to endanger one's sense of spiritual balance. Thank you all, again and again.

Examples? Of course not... that why they say "he has put in place the means" [emphasis mine] -- that way they can simply assert their conspiracy theories without having to prove anything.

Its amazing that some DUmmies think this was out of line.
This reminds me of what Rush said after Paul Wellstone's funeral, "You only get to do this once". You can't do another one next year, you can't reschedule. You get one chance. These pieces of filth screwed it up and disgraced this ceremony.

I remember Trent Lott was there and it got so bad, he left in the middle of it.

NAACP strong man Kwambly MumjumblywumblyIs he by any chance related to Senator Obamamama Osammapapaowhamma of IL?
No disrespect intended for authentic African names, but some of the psuedo-African monikers adopted these days by a few Americans of African descent just make their bearers look a bit silly IMHO.

Exactly. They can never ever cite an example of their baseless accusations.
