By the standards of MSM, more than 2 troops is a giant operation. It doesn't matter what is real or not. All that matters is how it is portrayed.

Good catch PJ. DUmmies see what they want to see and believe what they want to believe. I just watched a commercial for Olberman when he promised he would take the top 5 stories and tonight on his show he would tell the DUmmies what to think. That is what he meant even though he did use a little different language. He promised to 'explain' the news to them.

That's a good point. An operation like this would have no effect on Bush's poll numbers. If anything, it reminds people that work still needs to be done in Iraq. Not exactly a brilliant political strategy to raise poll numbers. But, in a leftist's mind, everything is about Meeeeeee. So, Bush must have done this to say "hey, look at me, I'm important and can do anything I want." (Examples: leaders of North Korea and Venezuela)

I'm just sitting here imagining exactly what the DUmmies would be saying IF this assault had been done "under the cover of night".......shouldn't delve too deeply into the mind of the paranoid. That the US was slaughtering innocent women and children in their sleep, of course.

Neither of us knows anything about military tactics, or typical procedures for the US military. Truer words were never spoken.

But some giant operation like this still doesn't look good almost 3 years after the war started.
I don't understand. Why not?

"Major combat operations in Iraq are over"? The whole "Mission Accomplished" photo? And please no mention that the banner meant the ship's specific mission was accomplished. No one is believing that, even if it is true.

I believe the Mission Accomplished was the taking of Baghdad (s?) which we did brilliantly in just a few weeks.

PJ clearly labeled it as a "DUmmie rocket scientist", which is an obvious tipoff. You were forewarned and have no right to complain.

Remember, that kind of painful stupidity came from their HEAD DUmmie---Skinner.Actually, at times I bleed for the guy, my fellow alum; he makes all of us who were taught by professors from Yale look, uh, unenlightened at times.

Yeah, the words "pre-dawn offensive" in that article sort of leap off the page, don't they?

Sorry, but the media has twisted that whole "Mission Accomplished" thing. And yes, it DID apply to the specific mission of taking Baghdad and toppling Saddam. Anyone who thinks otherwise didn't listen to Bush's speech on that ship, where he SPECIFICALLY said that there was still a lot of work ahead, and he outlined what needed to be done. Plus, anyone who has EVER worked on a large, complex project should be able to understand that there is a large mission, made up of smaller missions. It's the media dolts and the DUmmies, who hate George Bush, who sought to make that banner mean more than it did -- and they've apparently gotten to you, too.

...It doesn't help our international image. It underscores that the whole "democracy" PR campaign in Iraq is a charade. What you DUmmies don't understand and can't get through your thick skulls is this; Our "international image" should be pure fear from our enemies, and awe from our allies!
Democracy is a "PR campaign," eh? Migawd but you people are stupid!
