Maybe there is a little more to this story. Wouldn`t you think if this was exactly as posted, we would have heard about it? This kinda stinks.

I think that this ruling will be appealed quickly, or that the Kongress will act on it before the next summer recreational season.

Looking at the earlier thread on this story, I find your reticence to give this story much weight is justified. The web site and this article are hair-on-fire special interest tomfoolery.

This will last less than 15 minutes at the appeal level....
Mr. Paul Hurd Esq. should immediately ask the Appeals Court to enjoin the senile Fed. District decision, file the appeal and move on.

How do these clowns get to the bench? Now G, you know the answer.
These federal judges are put there by whatever administration is in power. I believe this one was put there by Klinton. Even more unfortunate, congressional Republicans probably did not even put up a fight.
Now we know why the Dims fight tooth and nail against most of President Bush's nominees. The Dims know one of their last bastions of power over the peeples is the judical area. And the more conservative judges are put in place, the more their power base is eroded.
Dims cannot get their way in Congress? No problem. The judicial branch will ultimately force liberal ideas down the peeples throats!

Good morning.
"Arrest the judge for public stupidity, it must be illegal!"
Shop around a little and I'm sure you will find a judge stupid enough to decide that stupidity is, in fact, illegal.

Give a man a fish and you will own him for a day.
Take away a man's right to fish and you will own him forever.

Is this Paul Hurd guy an Attorney? If so he should be disbarred.
The ruling merely states that boaters cannot encroach on private property which is flooded. They can boat til their hearts content below the normal high water line.
I'm a boater and don't see anything crazy about the ruling.

That's just flat out wrong. Nobody owns the water.

Maybe it will be that some judges will want to be fished out of a river someday, if they keep up this work against individual liberty.

If you're in your boat and a warden on shore asks you to come on over so he can write you up, just drive away and make him have to go to the launch ramp to cite you.
