I had a HiPoint .40 cal. pistol that is very similar to what you have. Ugly as sin, jammed constantly, but WAS actually fairly accurate. I also only spent about $140 for it. When I wanted to get rid of it, however, every local pawn shop that I went to to see if they were interested in a trade said that they weren’t interested but would give me a $25 voucher that was from the city that I could use. They said that the gun would just be destroyed. i ended up selling it in a garage sale for $100 last summer. I really was uncomfortable with the way it jammed so much and I was worried that if it did it in a panic situation that my wife wouldn’t know how to clear it. I ended up buying her a S&W .38 revolver that looks real dainty.
Anyone know anything about the Czech CZ-82 9x18 Pistol ?????

Only $450.00 also got a nice holster, 129 grain Federal .38 Special (+P) Hydra Shok, 135 grain Speer .357 Magnum Gold Point. Springfield Armory XDm 40 S&W to come soon.
I used to have some really nice guns... but my wife made me take them 3 miles out into Lake Michigan and throw them overboard... (sniff)
The laser makes things a little easier...not as much ammuntion to waste in practice....
Love my Glock 27!

OUCH!
The gun snobs are gonna tell you that you shouldn’t have bought one. That’s their opinion. I have the Hi-Point C9, and I like it. I needed to adjust the sights, but once I did it drives nails. I did have a feed problem, it was due to a faulty mag. I sent it back and got a new one at no cost to me. I haven’t had a problem since. I do use good ammo, and have fired reloads, but non jacketed ammo fouls the feed ramp quickly. I have put over 1500 rounds through mine with no failures. The C9 is a good reliable pistol, and you can’t beat the price. I own 3 other pistols, a Kimber 1911, Baretta M-9, and a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44mag. The Hi-Point is by far the ugliest of them all, but looks ain’t everything. This pistol is a shooter!
If my wife and I went out 3 miles to dump my guns.....me and my guns would be the only ones returning home....;)
I have three CZs, no 82 but it’s a good gun. I don’t think the 9X18 ballistics (Makarov?) are too good. Try to get a CZ or something else military surplus in 7.62: velocity like a .357 and cheep ammo.
A first pistol is a gateway drug. When you find you've run out of room in your new three-ton gun safe you'll remember this thread. ;-)
Just finished cleaning mine. Dead accurate. It's straight blowback. Be advised that if you practice, you will be able to deliver 12 examples of of what some consider marginal ballistics into a very small area.
No jams shooting Fiocchi, Sellier & Bellot or Silver Bear FMJ or Hornady XTP. It's fills the hand pleasantly. I feel in control of the pistol. Love it so much I ordered Marschal grips for it.
I prefer my Taurus Tracker, Titatnium .357 6 inch barell and weighs only 24 ounces, I usually wipe the Smegma off the trigger before firing and/or wonder where it came from.
Head cheese bump!
Nice.
You got that right. I carry my 92FS whenever I go out. The only problem is that is a bit bulky for concealed carry.
