An electronic peeping Tom ... or is that peeping Bob?
I have a Facebook account and love it. The pro severely outweigh the negatives. I guess I am on the side of the other 300 million people on this subject.
BFLR ... thanks for posting!
GIZMODO is calling a company unethical?
Gizmodo is the same organization the paid $5000 for stolen property and then tried to use the California shield law to keep themselves out of jail.
Gizmodo makes Facebook look like the most ethical company in the world.
I have a Facebook account, and I love it. I don’t put anything private on it. It’s a great way to keep up with pictures of the grandkids, and I can now keep in touch with old classmates and long lost cousins, especially one who lives in New Zealand that I would never have kept in touch with before.
I’m too old for pedophiles to have an interest in me.
I knew I was planning on retiring from my job this summer, but hadn’t told my boss, so I didn’t post anything about it on FB until I told her. You never know who knows who. That old six degress of separation thing.
AOL was the worst! I remember staying up late one night, (I remember the date well, it was 9/10/01)trying to close out of my account. I thought I had succeeded, but they kept billing me. I was ready to pull my hair out.
And mine. Those are the only shows I must watch regularly.
I do.
Finals week across the country....
I haven’t had too much trouble today, but yeah this time of year is pretty heavy use.
Well, it’s good that you don’t use the Facebook system for anything you mind the whole world seeing. Because they just had *another* serious privacy “glitch” yesterday:
Facebook glitch revealed friends’ private chats

I saw this. It is not surprising.
Bump
Twitter is great if you follow the right people and is an excellent way to follow breaking news.
98 as well...old dog-new tweets.
I have never gotten an account. Some people were saying that I just wasn’t with it. But this article says otherwise. Thanks!
I love my facebook, especially Restaurant City. However, I don’t have my true info on there so there are no privacy issues.
It’s not private anymore! FB is taking common words and linking them to “Community Pages”. When you use one of their selected words in your status, it automatically posts your status to that Community Page also ~ no matter what your privacy settings are set to. I have all of mine on Friends Only and it is still happening. So if you post the word “travel” in your status saying you are traveling to grandma’s house this weekend, it posts to the Travel Community Page for thousands of people to see that you’re out of town!
