I’ve been saying since day one that when characterizing Obama we don’t need to choose between evil and stupid. He is both evil AND stupid. Those are not mutually exclusive alternatives.

It’s tough for the country to have a stupid, incompetent President. But to get down to the nitty gritty, it’s also a good thing. Because if he was evil and smart, we’d REALLY be in trouble.

As Rush put it, early on, “I hope he fails.” We’d better all hope he fails. Because what he wants to do is destroy our country, but thankfully his incompetence and stupidity have slowed him down and weakened his support.

Think of him as a failed Hitler. At least, I hope he fails. He’s still got two more years.

Republicans had Obama over a barrel. At a minimum they should have demanded open ended continuation of the Bush tax cuts and a max six month extension of unemployment benefits. Obama’s presidency is on the line and, being the narcissist that he is, there’s no way he wouldn’t bend to save his skin. He could care less about his fellow Dems.

It’s hard to wrap one’s mind around that concept, but you are completely right. He is devious and insidious, but at the same time totally lacking in wisdom, judgement, and rectitude.

I think it is far more serious than that. We FReepers had a good read on the narcissist in chief a long time ago and I am certain that the intelligence agencies across the world did too. Thus his petulant behavior is not surprise to world leaders. However, I am also sure that all of us believed there was a puppetmaster and minders (however nefarious) that had the situation well in hand, that Obama was simply a news reader - a Katie Couric with a fancier office and residence. Well, the unscripted debacle in the briefing room pulled back that curtain and amazingly there was no one at the controls. Holy carp! he really IS the one in charge???

Someone on one of the talk shows (can't remember who), said that Obama’s great flaw is that he basically hates politics and disdains politicians. This is a person who considers himself the smartest guy in the room, and thinks everyone should just stop and listen to what he says, then obey him. When it comes to the real world of governing and the political work necessary to get things done as president, he's lost.

He would make a pretty good dictator, but as a president he doesn't have a clue.
