I remain deeply skeptical of Cain. A lot of people here are beginning to worship him and say he has impeccable conservative credentials, but I can’t get past the FACT that he was head of the KC Fed.

Being a well-connected banking insider is NOT what I look for in my conservative president. When the chips are down, I’m afraid that Cain will go Bernanke on us.

With all of these Freepers worshiping him I will certainly look closely at him and consider him a possible candidate for GOP nomination but at this point, I can’t fall in love with any FED insider, so I remain cautiously skeptical and I will look for any hint that Cain is just Bernanke lite.

I’m sorry about this but my feeling is, once a FED always a FED. You can’t represent middle class taxpayers and reward Wall Street at the same time. The FED always ends up rewarding wall street and shafting us. Cain was FED. I’m very nervous about that.

Considering his support for TARP. Cain is finished, just no one has informed him yet.

Whatever.

Who's your ticket to success in 2012?

by contributing to the splintering of the conservative vote in ‘12, he will be supporting Mitt Romney again.

That's what he is doing right now.

With the economy in shambles and the public debt at $15 Trillion, what corporate scumbag Free Traitor of the past couple of decades can claim legitimate "bidness experience".

Our economy is exactly where it is because of the big decisions that have been made by the big decision makers in government and corporations -- short-term thinking; long-term disasters. And the vast majority of them are globalist communist pissants.

He and Alan Keyes have nothing in common.

Hopefully, you are right, given Keyes already has a history of losing to the Won. LOL!

He supported the election of Scott Brown in Mass. too.

As did I. What would I have done instead? Voted for c*nt Coakley?

I voted for Brown. Then I emailed my liberal sister in Colorado and bragged of having exercised the privilege that afternoon of urinating on Ted Kennedy's grave.

At one of the presidential debates the candidates were asked who they would pick as their VP ...Cain said he would pick Romney if Romney would go along with his 999 plan.

Close but not quite. Though the misrepresentation gets repeated a lot! Cain joking laughed and said Romney if Romney would drop his jobs plan, AND THEN Cain said he'd pick Newt!

Cain said IF Romney would throw out his jobs plan he would have a shot otherwise he would go with Newt.

That’s what I said. The big point is that you didn’t even mention Newt in your #126!

The bigger point is Cain likes Romney and that can’t be denied. I am glad he mentioned Newt too...I do like Newt

I think Cain likes the business side of Romney but I think Cain and Newt have more in common with one another and Cain has repeatedly said he likes and respects Newt.

CAIN: This is a game, and it is hypothetical. I’ll play the game.

(LAUGHTER)

If — if Governor Romney would throw out his jobs growth plan and replace it with 999, he has a shot.

(LAUGHTER)

If he does not, I would probably go with Speaker Gingrich, who I have the greatest admiration for, in all seriousness, because of his history and because of his depth of knowledge.

Oh, please.

He had the choice of Romney, Huckabee, McCain, and Paul.

There were no good choices.
