I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find out Obama and the Dems had a bounty on Thomas’ career, and will pay anyone who can help get rid of him.

There were indications that the McGovern campaign may have been getting money from Cuba.

Watergate Figure John Dean Threatens to Sue Historian Over Damaging Tape Recordings
Friday, July 10, 2009
By Joseph Abrams

Watergate figure John Dean, 70, is threatening to sue a history professor over tapes that show the former White House counsel disavowing his own bestselling memoirs as inaccurate.
Watergate figure John Dean, who once spent eight years embroiled in a libel suit against a publishing house, is now threatening to sue a college history professor for posting audio tapes online that suggest the Nixon confidant-turned-government witness is covering up the details of his role in the most infamous political scandal in American history.

Yes, old Mo was with some exclusive call girl operation in DC, right?

Whaaaat? Where have these stories been ventilated in public before? This is the very first I've ever heard of Mo Dean being a prostitute, or about Watergate's being a black-bag job on ..... what records? Who held them?

It's always been the story that the DNC was the target, because Dick Nixon wanted early warning of a Teddy Kennedy move for the 'Rat nomination.

Democrats are willing to toss a few stingers, but never do they truly want to hurt anyone ...

Hah. Ask Judge Robert Bork about that, Deaner.

Yeah, and he cannot possibly have been sensate during the Thomas hearings, either, when Howie Metzenbaum, Ted Kennedy, and Joe Biteme tag-teamed Thomas with scurrilous crap dredged up from the raw FBI files of tales borne in by the evil Anita Hill and resolutely supported by her dieselly-looking (homely as a Mack truck) Sisters in Struggle.

All of this a full generation after liberals of Drew Pearson's ilk drove Sen. Joe McCarthy to an early grave, knowing full well, as Ann Coulter tells us in Treason, that McCarthy was right as rain about Communists in the government, and that they were wrong, and lying, and foul. (People who accuse Ann Coulter of extremism and hypercharacterization, have never breathed in the full self-consequent foulness of liberalism.)

So it's not as if Dean and his liberal readers are going to their first rodeo.

Thomas, Scalia, and Alito need to stay out of small planes and hire a food taster for as long as Obama is in the White Hut. No joke, guys.

Oh, these are rumors that have been around for years. I think Gordon Liddy has said she worked for an escort service. I don’t really know if the rumors of true. We do know that John Dean is a nasty little weasel - and that’s no rumor!

Where have these stories been ventilated in public before?

Huge best seller in the '90's, Silent Coup. The Dean angle was that he had , as White House Counsel, pushed his way into the WH containment strategy and had in fact intensified the illegality and/ or impropriety of actions taken in the cover-up in order to protect Maureen from her call-girl past becoming known ( his own private agenda dictated his actions beyond "protecting Nixon"). Supposedly, the lower level guys who broke into the DNC were going to DNC chairaman Larry O'Brien's desk to get a list of callgirls he kept there for visiting Dem VIP's. But the conspiracy outlined went far beyond that, including especially Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Thomas Moorer, Bob Woodward as a lower level operative, the Kennedy assassination, etc. It fingered L. Patrck Gray as likely Deep Throat. Dean did se the author, the link is found in one of my previous posts.

Amazingly most leftists seem to actually believe this kind of garbage. They remind me of some of the really hardcore “white trash” types I knew back in the fifties. They always saw themselves as the good guys, no matter what the truth of the matter. That sort would sucker punch you for no reason whatsoever and if you knocked them flat in response you were the assailant in their eyes! They would hold a grudge for years and look for revenge for what you supposedly did to them. They would lie and steal and then rave about how they despised liars and thieves. Their thought process, if you can call it that, seemed identical to what we see now from the leftwing media and the Dimmycrats. The only difference is that those pathetic creatures I knew in the fifties were fourth grade dropouts rather than having a wall full of framed diplomas.

By the way, my sheesh, go away remark was aimed at john dean not you, if that’s what you’re all worked up about.

I was in Washington during the Watergate days so I don’t need to do any homework.

Along those lines, you might find considerable paydirt, (no pun intended), if you checked the sources of funding for Slick Willie’s Library and Massage Parlor!

Supposedly, the lower level guys who broke into the DNC were going to DNC chairaman Larry O'Brien's desk to get a list of callgirls he kept there for visiting Dem VIP's.

I've heard of Silent Coup but never read it or the Cliff Notes version, and this is the first I've heard of a call-girl angle. So far as I'd ever heard, the break-in was all about installing phone bugs and getting lowdown on O'Brien as DNC Chairman and a former Camelot staffer and likely Ted Kennedy contact and operative. The whole caper was about what O'Brien might be doing, contingently, in the near future to help Teddy grab the nomination at the convention and challenge Nixon.

I don't think, in retrospect, that Nixon realized that the entire Democratic Party had just been overreached in a Gramscian putsch by Progs whose orientation was, to put it bluntly, neo-Stalinist. McGovern's candidacy should have been the clue.

The guess about the identity of Deep Throat was certainly wrong: we know now it was Mark Felt. Therefore others of the book's themes may likewise be speculative. One can hope that, with Nixon and other principals now dead, various deathbed memoirs may appear, and a recension written to correct the Watergate record, which Silent Coup appears, like Back Door to War in the 1940's (about Pearl Harbor), to have been a first attempt to do.

Maybe Mo Dean can help us out here. Suggested working title: My Last Booty Call.

Slick Willie’s Library and Massage Parlor!

I always thought that "Man from Hope" tag was an attempt to band-aid over the fact that Slick actually grew up rushing cans in the back rooms of various Hot Springs cathouses and getting paid in trade. That would certainly explain his sexual appetite.

Look up the role of FDR's Felix Frankfurter, who was involved in setting up the ACLU

I read an article about AJ William Brennan once, about the time his self-serving screed of an autobiography appeared (A Justice for All), that went into the formative role Frankfurter played in turning the Warren Court into a pigs' playground of left-wing legal positivism. Frankfurter never saw a clause of the Constitution he wasn't willing to screw with to help the Progs get what they wanted.

Frankfurter was all about the exaltation of Left politics over black-letter constitutional law.
