Wow! That's rich!

And I thought old Jim Hightower was the biggest Texas fool (not to mention his grudge against Rick Perry for "taking away" his Agricultural Commission seat in 1989.

I do not believe that America is foolish enough to equate 25 million other Americans with George W. Bush simply because they happen to live in the State of Texas. .... Polybius

And I believe you are wrong. .... Grunthor

So, if you are correct and Perry has no chance because of the fact that he is from Texas, who do you believe that the American voters will trust with the Presidency of the United States from January 2013 through January 2017?

A.) Barack Obama

B.) The pizza chain CEO that has never won a single election is his life

C.) The "submissive" wife that believes that is is her duty to God to obey what Marcus Bachmann tells her to do and who has ZERO executive experience in either the private sector or the public sector.

D.) The as yet undeclared candidate that 65% of all voters (Gallup poll) have said that they would "definitely NOT" vote for and 71% of all voters (Fox News poll) have said that they do NOT believe she would be a good President.

E.) Ummm... Don't tell me. It starts with the letter P. Jeeez. I can never remember that name. Let me ask around. Sorry, nobody else remembers the name either. Whatever. You know. That guy.

F.) Mitt Romney.

G. (Fill in the blank here)

Anybody who cannot see the handwriting on the wall and refuses to vote for Perry is an Obama supporter, in my opinion.

There are no more Easter Bunnies or Santas to pull out of the GOPs hat. Perry’s the last.

Thanks. As I read what the Ames people are saying they most likely will include both Palin and Perry in the straw poll but neither will have a slot on the floor to speak. I guess either could request not to be included if they so desired. Perry has an event scheduled in SC on the same day but could conceivable make an appearance at both events.

The following has some info that maybe of interest:

I disagree.

Delusional people are not necessarily Obama supporters.

And anybody who is OK with a zero re-elect needs to go somewhere else.

I personally would like to see TX AG Greg Abbott as POTUS, but that ain’t happening.

Perry is the rorschach test for freeper who understand POTUS politics and those who do not. Particularly dreading the ‘I’ll sit it out’ contingent.

I personally like Bachmann, Palin or Cain. Of course that’s not what you asked is it? I think that our next President is likely to be named Obama or Romney.....if those are the choices I believe that Obama will win it in a walk.

The sickest damned thing about it? The MSM will spend a year painting Romney as a “conservative” and no one will correct them.

Lord willing, I think Perry will announce at this event: http://theresponseusa.com

I think you're playing up the religious angle too much. Earlier today, he said it comes down to whether his donors can pledge the money and resources he needs. He's actually getting together tonight with like 30 or 40 donors behind closed doors to discuss whether he should or can run. It's a situation that's foreign to him - he's used to people being able to give however much they want to give in Texas races, but in a Presidential race, there's a limit of $2,500.

I know Perry brought up God somewhere, but it's going to come down to what those 30 or 40 people decide tonight. If they tell Perry that they can go out and get enough other people to write $2,500 checks, then he'll run.

Well, I appreciate your answer which is based on political reality and not just wishful thinking.

The reason I am so against the Sarah Palin mania is because it is simply not rational to expect a candidate to win when over 70% of all voters, in a FOX News poll, no less, believe that she would NOT be a good President.

To me, such a nomination is guaranteed suicide.

I also believe that Bachmann would be another Christine O'Connell fiasco and Cain would be another Alan Keyes fiasco.

The way I see it, to paraphrase Churchill, "Perry is the worst candidate we have .... except for all the others."

I believe that the overriding concerns in this elections will be proven experience and economic results which is why I believe that Perry would trounce Obama.

That said, I would prefer that Jeb Bush (He of the Cursed Name) had been Governor of Texas and Rick Perry had be Governor of Florida.

Well, then those people probably will vote for obama no matter what.

I don’t get the defeatist attitudes here some times. Bush won two terms, we’ve controlled the house for all but 4 of the last 17 years, and senate much of that time. We are in the drivers seat for 2012 unless there is real economic improvement. Peope vote with their pocketbooks and wallets, and for that reason Obama is not well positioned at all.

Will Parker be readily available for commentary when Perry does announce his candidacy....you know, since he has been a watcher of Perry over the years? =.=

You know I was thinking about that. Wow what a great “talking head” for the MSM. But after reading the story archived at the LINK in Post #30, I don’t think anyone in their right mind will touch Carl A. Parker with a ten foot pole.

Grunthor said it best: The same people that could tell you who won last years American Idol but have no clue who the last Vice-President was, yes that is exactly what they will do.

These are the same people that gave obama 67% of the electoral votes.

Perry's got a secret weapon though - Hispanics. He's tried to do more as Governor for certain Hispanic groups over the last 10 years than Nobama has done in the White House. As a Texan and a taxpayer, I thank God that Perry wasn't able to get his way, but he can still use that to his advantage.

Perry has another contingent. When Katrina struck, and Perry invited NOLAs here, and they took him up on it, that was personal and can’t be negated by Sharpton or Jackson.

Perry cannot be Kanyed. Anywhere.
