This is part of the homosexual agenda.
In every nation that a accepts gay marriage, the next to fall is age of consent.
In Europe, you will see age of consent at 13 to 15. This as pushed by the homosexual liberals.
The same is happening here. Look at the AG race in Virginia for proof.

SICK. Not really; the age of [about] 12 has been, in many places and times, the time where one participates in a "coming of age" ritual (Bar- and Bat-mitzvah for modern-day [religious] counterparts) -- such rituals/rites are very good in the sense that there is a definite "line" for being an adult.

I think these pervs want the age of consent down to the single digits.

If our society had one then we wouldn't have the "when am I a man" confusion that we do: is it 16 [when you learn to drive], 18 [when you reach the legal age of majority], 21 [when you can drink], 26 [when your car insurance goes down], 40 [when you lose your virginity], or some arbitrary event like moving out?

Are you Jewish? That depends on who you ask and how far back you're willing to go. IIUC my mother's mother's father was [part] German Jew.
The particulars matter little to me; my salvation is not based on the circumstance of my birth, but on the God that bore my sin.

When were you told you were an adult?
To: OneWingedShark
Well, thanks for being so clear.
Please allow me to provide you with some facts:
From Wikipedia:
Reaching the age of bar mitzvah signifies becoming a full-fledged member of the Jewish community with the responsibilities that come with it. These include moral responsibility for own actions, eligibility to be called to read from the Torah and lead or participate in a Minyan, may possess personal property, may be legally married according to Jewish law, must follow the 613 laws of the Torah and keep the Halakha, may testify as a witness in a Beth Din (Rabbinical court) case.
Many congregations require pre-bar mitzvah children to attend a minimum number of Shabbat prayer services at the synagogue, study at a Hebrew School, take on a charity or community service project, and maintain membership in good standing with the synagogue. In addition to study and preparation offered through the synagogue and Hebrew schools, bar mitzvah tutors may be hired to prepare the youngster through the study of Hebrew, Torah cantillation and basic Jewish concepts. When were you told you were an adult? I wasn't, and that's my point -- there's so many arbitrary 'milestones' that it dilutes any particular one from being meaningful. Heck, under insurance law to be a "qualifying child" you can be up to 26.
This sort of confusion on society's part will not come to a good end, if left unchecked... and, indeed, may be used to further restrict our freedoms by our tyrannical government: imagine what would happen if they "simplified the law" such that the definition of child was "up to 26" and then statutory rape as "sexual intercourse with a child".
You would then have yourself the perfect storm to simply declare people felons and strip them of rights... especially if it were applied retroactively, but it wouldn't need retroactivity to be dangerous: there's no exception in the above definition for married couples. (And of course any such laws would be, as they are today, selectively applied and enforced.)
But, to bring things back to the point, the age of 12 [or 13-15] is not a bad age at all for society to say "now you are ethically and morally responsible, [we expect you to] behave like an adult."

Old enough to bleed, old enough to breed, eh? Given that "Reaching the age of bar mitzvah signifies becoming a full-fledged member of the Jewish community with the responsibilities that come with it" [see post 14] must needs include the imperative to defend the community [conscription, militia services] and include "may be legally married according to Jewish law" then I'd have to agree.

In the purists sense, females were meant to have babies the moment they start ovulating, regardless of age. But who the hell wants a bunch of 12 year old single mothers running around? Meanwhile, Juan has moved on to the elementary school down the street, sewing his ‘Democrat voter’ seed as he goes!
