And why do we say her middle name? Is she a serial killer that we havent heard about? Or are they just doing it in anticipation that one day she will murder others?

Please stop dragging FR thru the mud with your nutball posts.
You’re the kook if you really think you can stop all “nutball posts” from appearing on FR.

Yes, but this (DKG) was in her own home.
Not sure even that really mattered. It was very much a different time, especially for the political and financial elite
LBJ and Joe Kennedy Sr. were birds of a feather in many ways for instance. There's a story (not sure where I heard it, possibly here on FR) about a time down at the Kennedy Compound in West Palm when Rose was entertaining some guests. Joe and one of his mistresses came in from playing tennis, walked right across the living room and into his bedroom. Rose apparently didn't even bat an eye.

What genius invited that plagiarist/liar/fruitbat to speak at Gettysburg?

Given the 70 year-old Goodwin's plagiaristic background and her long-time nutball ideology, the Gettysburg committee should have requested a synopsis of her keynote speech beforehand. This is not at all an unusual request in the major league speaking circuit.
The organizations's planners had the wool pulled over their eyes by this hardened broad....and they got what they deserved. I'll bet they won't be so trusting and naive next time they hire a speaker.

Regarding Doris playing Ethel Rosenberg during “make believe”? Yup. I read it in her memoir. Really and truly!

JFK was hit. And hit by professionals. Shortly before his death E. Howard Hunt admitted in a video given to his son that he was in Dallas that day as backup. Hunt says the hit was put in place by Johnson. And it was Johnson who benefited most. Recommend the book "Blood, Money, and Power" by Barr McClellan, from a number of years ago. It offers a convincing case in support of the theory that LBJ masterminded the JFK assassination (as well as an earlier killing of a US Agriculture Dept. official), written by a man who had obtained "inside" historical information on LBJ from having been an attorney at LBJ's buddy's law firm in Austin, TX.
To: MustKnowHistory
....her rambling, self-promoting, and borderline inappropriate lecture touched upon nearly everything except for the heroic sacrifices made on that battlefield. One more narcissistic liberal with a huge puffed-up ego... Doris Kears Goodwin's an embarrassment....

Yeah...I read this several years ago. A very convincing read. Johnson was headed for a new federal investigation over the Bobby Baker scandal...and JFK (according to Evelyn Lincoln) was going to remove him from the ticket in ‘64.
Johnson had motive, opportunity, and means according to McClellan.

Thanks, justiceseeker93-I’ll check it out. LBJ was probably the nastiest president we’ve had—until now.

I was listening to a radio show yesterday and the author being interviewed was a big mafia lawyer that wrote a book on his interview with the guy who said he was part of the group that killed Hoffa.
He said the mafia guy when asked about Kennedy said he would never touch dallas.

I heard that interview, too. He also said something about rifles being sent to Dallas.
It’s so obvious that JFK was “hit”.
Frank put two bullets in Hoffa’s head and Hoffa was cremated.
