Romney’s numbers looked pretty good two years before the last presidential election. Dems will flood into open Republican primaries and the media will be praising him every moment to ensure Christie gets the nomination. Then they will turn on him as they did with McCain and Romney. This is an old movie that the GOP-idiots keep playing in the hope that it will have a different ending.

Well, let Clinton and Christie fight it out for the DNC nomination. I’m hoping we get some conservatives to battle it out for the GOP nomination for our side.

Ain’t falling for this story again. Christie has a snowball’s chance against any of the Democrats. And I’ll go out on a limb and predict that Hillary won’t be the nominee. She’s acting all ‘entitled’ and that’s not how you attract the Jon Stewart crowd.

This tells you how much damage this Obamacare rollout has had on the democrats. If Hillary is down this early on, they are in a world of hurt.

If it’s Christie and Clinton, the only folks who will be voting will be democrats.

They’ll be the only ones running too.

In other polls:

Fred Rogers leads Hillary Clinton nationwide

Random selection from the Macomb, MI white pages beats Hillary Clinton nationwide.

35 year old ham sandwich beats Hillary Clinton everywhere except New York.

Just wait. Hannity will begin every show with, “X days left until the most important election of our lives!”

The drumbeat for Christie by the MSM has been going on for a bit now, and it is surely to grow louder. Why, doesn’t everyone know that he is the “frontrunner”?

Christie? Sorry GOPe. No sale here.

HAHAHA. Good one! Hannity is such a joke - he's the voice of the conventional wisdom of the GOPe, second only to Hugh Hewitt. Spit.

Here comes the triangulation. You’d better vote for the R again, or you’re really voting for Hillary!

Yep. Remember the many, many FReepers who declared just as passionately and certainly that they'd never vote for Romney ... were here seven or eight months later declaring that they were going to vote for Romney because ... because ... because ... because ....

... because of blind, pure Obama hysteria.

The most frustrating was the unicorn plea that they were voting "against" Obama, not "for" Romney.

The function of voting "against" is illusion. It's binary, like a light switch, on or off. Your vote is only ever for something. Had Romney won, the buyer's remorse would have been horrific.

Colonel, what are the odds, you think, of Christie or some like-minded left Republican getting the official GOP nod? Putting us here with a Christie type in October of 2016, against a Hillary or worse? I saw someone today proposed Gerry Brown, ol' Moonbeam, as presidential!

...conservatives should stop trashing each other or we’re gonna end up with a candidate such as Christie.

America has to trash quite a few "conservatives" and Republicans, sorry! There has to be some bottom line grounding principle. I think the 2nd Amendment is a good place to start. You're in or you're out on that one alone.

Take Rick Santorum for example. Am I "trashing" him to point out that, Christian "family values" guy that he is, he is in many ways of the government mold that I feel compelled to trash!

No, saying "hush, children, stop arguing" will solve zero.

If it ends up being Third Party time, I say what another poster here says: We need a 2nd party, not a third party, because Repub and Dem are the same party, as some folks call it, a Uniparty. At the very least, a 2nd Amendment Reduce Federal Government minded "third" party could at least throw the Uniparty victor (Dem or Repub) into miserable plurality minority status. It weakened Clinton, it could weaken the next leftist nightmare in the White House.

I'm just sayin' that if it ends up in 2016 the way it did in 2014, with Uniparty "opponents," the best thing to get behind is a third party, if only to deny any count to the Uniparty.

Looks like the media is picking our candidate for us again. I will not vote in the 2016 election if this RINO is our candidate. We are nearly 2 years away and they are starting their campaign to have Christie as the nominee. No thanks!
