Dingell told the paper. “I don’t want people to say I stayed too long.”
Really?
You stayed too long!

“”I find serving in the House to be obnoxious””
We find Congress to be obnoxious so we have something in common.
Debbie Dingall? What a great campaign slogan could be made from that.

Sure, what the heck, HE didn’t have to sign up for it.

"I don't want people to say I stayed too long." Proving yet again that Democrats have no sense of irony.

At 88-years of age he proves that it isn’t very physically nor mentally taxing to serve in Congress. What a cushy job it must be.

And I'm still as smart and capable as anyone on the Hill.
That's not saying much.

Fifty years to many two terms is more than enough for a hack to get rich.

Although Dingell is and has been a liberal Democrat throughout his political career there’s one favorable thing I can say about him, he has always been a strong supporter of 2nd Amendment rights. I haven’t kept up with his recent voting record on that issue, but I doubt that he’s changed his mind about our Constitutional right to keep and bear arms after all those years of supporting that right.
