“The emails on her computer were all sent or received by others, so you go and subpoena all the other people she was in contact with...they can’t all have lost their emails.

It just slows the process down......”
**********************************************************************

Yes, there are “bread crumbs” ALL OVER the place and the email history and the emails are stored archived in multiple places when email go INTER agency. The same goes for purely INTRA agency emails, just fewer archive places.

THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN YET ANOTHER STALL by the members of this criminal enterprise in this LAWLESS government.

Those e-mails exist on a whole bunch of servers so some hacker should compile them and anonymously forward them to Stockman, Issa, Chaffetz, Cruz and a bunch of other Congressmen.

Of course there are backups. We must be getting too close to the truth when they try to come up with such a lame excuse.

Mark Levin’s show for friday had very good ideas how to deal with this.

Sure there is...unless, of course, there has been an orchestrated, conspiratorial effort to permanently delete it.

I expect the NSA to come through on this...after all, we spend a great deal of money on them, and they apparently spend most of their time and money spying on us, instead of those nasty foreigners...which is how the US got “blindsided” on the Ukraine and on ISIS.

Frankly, if they can’t, I will be asking my idiot RINOish powerful senator to orchestrate its defunding...if he doesn’t get results, I swear to God, I’ll vote for the Democrat. Might as well, and the RINO idiot has been occupying space for 30 years.

If the backup was somehow also compromised, then we are talking about a conspiracy....

Last place I worked, the IT hand carried a weekly backup off site and put in a safety deposit box.

All they have to do is complain that they really can’t find the files with the 1980’s technology they’re running at the IRS...

no doubt!

Three-year olds can come up with better excuses than those we’ve heard over the past weeks.

IRS lost Lerner’s emails? Fine. Subpoena the WH and all agencies/persons suspected of having received Lerner’s emails. That should work. Unless they’ve all lost their Lerner emails.

LOL. Yup.

We should just ask Putint too. He probably has copies from Snowden.

Everyone but the IRS has a copy

They are claiming her hard drive crashed on her computer, thus the loss of thousands of emails. I am no IT guy, but aren’t emails stored on a server rather than individual hard drives? I am not buying one word from this farcical administration.

It’s very simple: If those emails are “lost” then throw the Lawful Custodians into prison.

About back-ups ...

I was a temp at a two-bit local radio station almost 20 years ago and I was put in charge of the tape back up system. Took THe Tape home with me because that was supposedly a secure off-site location.

I don’t believe the IRS story for a minute, like everyone else.

I mean, you can buy thumb drives for $4 at Target. You mean to tell me NO ONE working for the Great and Powerful Oz backed up anything?

Yeah, right.

Forget you ever heard the term "cloud" and stop using it. It's an absurd term that is only used by people without any technological knowledge and it is used to mean everything an everything. It sets off alarms with those that do have technical knowledge, just stop using it. That aside...

I work in a relatively medium size company. No one server could crash that wouldn't allow us to get one persons emails for the last 10 years. Everything is redundant including the back up systems. It is an obvious excuse and a completely blatant lie.
