So there’s a state committee that comes to your house demanding to see your secured guns?

Another step backwards and another unconstitutional law made by politicians that have violated their oath of office. These treasonists seem to forget owning a gun is not a privilege but a RIGHT. This is no different from demanding people wear mouth locks before practicing freedom of speech. Hey mouth locks.....can we get one on Hillary?

I thought SCOTUS already addressed this in DC, of course NY, CA and others are special and can and do violate the 2A.

“...the police is...” Seriously?
To: therightliveswithus
The police is handing out free locks,.......these free locks, in order to get them must give the cops all info about you and your firearms? Kinda like gun registration via free locks?

We have the same law in California.....I know of several people that regularly ignore that law.
Fundamental to self defense is the ability to access your weapons in a timely manner. This law is ludicrous, and clearly void per the Second Amendment.
To: SkyDancer
Responding to how they’re going to know which guns are locked and which aren’t by coming to your home in what way exactly?

We have so many laws (that in totality are beyond the knowledge of any one individual that we are all still responsible to obey - a logical inconsistency/Catch 22) that most peeps break at least one every day.
It's who we are....

actually it will give them extra time because they realize the home owner will be fumbling to unlock his weapon while they murder his family.
To: therightliveswithus
Make the cops and the security detail of the politicians have their guns locked until ready to use. The a-hole politicians who scheme such measures need to go.
To: SkyDancer
They could resurrect the old colonial Committees of Safety to check every house. We've turned everything else the founders did on its head; why not the committees, too?
To: Paladin2
The idiots who passed this should be removed from office but won’t because of “New York Values” voters.
