Absolutely. A somewhat good looking man beats an unattractive man or a women in an election by 5 points all other things being equal. And it goes back a long way.
The man can be older or younger, he just has to be better looking to his age group than the other man. Carter was better looking than Ford. Reagan better looking than Carter. Tall helps but so does humor and confidence. Bill Clinton had tons of confidence and humor and he was tall. Its been a long time since we have had a president under 6 feet tall.

Respectfully disagree. Carter jus had more hair.
I just went through the whole presentation, and the guy makes some very astute observations. His language could be less “salty”, but his theories and deductions are for the most part accurate in most situations.
I care.
Not nearly as much as men care, but I do not want an ugly guy. Doesn’t have to be gorgeous, just inoffensive.
And yes, it has happened to me. I just couldn’t get past how unattractive one man I dated was. Tried, couldn’t.
Whenever this subject comes up at a social gathering some very average looking woman who thinks she’s hot will always pipe up and say “that’s not true, I always date average looking guys!” So now you have to look like the bad guy and tell her she’s not really dating below her level or stay quiet and lose the debate.
